Schedule I’s March 27, 2025, Post-launch Patch #3 fixed one specific disappearance bug: trash-bag contents vanishing after a save and load. That note does not confirm a fix for every missing item. Reports of objects disappearing or appearing misplaced for co-op players describe a different symptom, and the sources available here do not establish whether that multiplayer issue is fixed in the current build.
First identify which kind of disappearance you have
Before trying to recover anything, check the situation: is the missing thing an item inside a trash bag or a placeable object such as a bed, station, shelf, or mixer? Does the host also see it missing, or only a player who joined the session? Did it disappear after saving and loading, or when a player joined?
- Trash-bag contents lost after save/load: this matches a specific bug addressed in the March 27, 2025, Post-launch Patch #3 notes.
- Objects missing only for a co-op player: this resembles dated player reports about items visible to the host but not to joining players. Those reports do not establish that it is the same bug as the trash-bag issue, or confirm its cause.
- Items or objects missing for everyone: note what disappeared and when. The sources cited here do not establish a universal fix or recovery method for this broader symptom.
What the official notes say was fixed
The March 27, 2025, Post-launch Patch #3 notes explicitly say the developers fixed “trash bag contents disappearing on save/load.” They also mention additional validity checks for stored items. This is evidence for that named fix, not a guarantee that all kinds of item loss were resolved.
On April 10, 2025, the Schedule1 Team’s version 0.3.4 update notes described “Preventing save games getting corrupted/disappearing” as a priority. The notes also said discussions with Valve informed improvements to the save-file format and its interaction with Steam Cloud. A stated priority and development direction are not proof that every save problem was eliminated.

The March 26, 2025, Post-launch Patch #2 notes list several employee, station, and item-interaction fixes, including a case where employees could get stuck trying to pick up an item that had been removed from their supplies. They do not identify the broader reports of co-op invisibility as fixed.
What to try if an object is missing in co-op
Steam Community posts from March and April 2025 describe beds, stations, products, shelves, mixers, and other objects missing, misplaced, or invisible for some players. In one thread, players reported that saving, restarting, rejoining, or having the host pick up and replace an affected object helped in particular sessions. The results were inconsistent, so treat these as session-specific things to try—not a dependable recovery procedure.

- Compare what each player sees. Ask the host and joining players whether the object is missing for everyone or only appears missing to one player. Record the object type and when the discrepancy began.
- Try a clean session refresh. If you are willing to risk changing the session state, save, restart, and rejoin. Some players reported improvement after these steps, but they are not guaranteed to restore an object.
- If the host still sees the object, the host can try picking it up and placing it again. This helped in some reported sessions, but player accounts do not establish it as a universal fix.
- Check current official notes and report persistent problems. Look for a note matching your exact symptom, and use the game’s bug-report channel if it continues. The historical posts cited here do not verify whether the issue is resolved in the current build.
How to interpret save and Steam Cloud concerns
The version 0.3.4 notes show that save integrity and the save file’s interaction with Steam Cloud were areas the developers were working on in April 2025. They do not provide a blanket assurance against future corruption or disappearance, nor do they establish that Steam Cloud caused the co-op reports. Avoid treating a cloud-sync problem as confirmed unless the symptoms and current official guidance support that diagnosis.
