No—the Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC did not launch on October 8, 2026. Bandai Namco announced it for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on July 30, 2026. Steam’s listing displays July 29. The cited official announcements do not establish that NEO is formally the game’s “second DLC.”
When did Super Limit-Breaking NEO come out?
Bandai Namco Entertainment America said NEO became available on July 30, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Bandai Namco’s announcement gives that date; Steam’s DLC listing displays July 29, 2026. The sources do not explain the one-day difference, so the dates should be attributed to their respective sources rather than treated as interchangeable.

Is NEO officially the game’s second DLC?
The cited publisher announcements and official Dragon Ball article describe Super Limit-Breaking NEO as a DLC expansion, but do not label it the game’s “second DLC.” That ordinal should not be presented as an official designation. The official Dragon Ball launch article

What does the NEO DLC add?
Bandai Namco says the expansion adds 33 playable characters, four Episode Battles, Extra Battles, four new stages, and the solo mode Limit Breaker Journey. The publisher describes the characters as spanning Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball GT. Bandai Namco’s announcement
The four stage names given in the official PlayStation Blog post are Kami’s Palace, Kame House, Bitter Tundra, and Stratosphere. For context, that July 23, 2026 post said the game had more than 180 characters at launch and over 200 playable characters at the time it was written. Those are dated figures, not a current live roster count. PlayStation.Blog
Is NEO available on Nintendo Switch or Switch 2?
Bandai Namco said the Switch and Switch 2 versions would arrive later, but the cited announcement did not give a release date. The available official sources therefore do not confirm that NEO is out on either Nintendo platform. A Nintendo catalog listing for a different Sparking! Is the free update part of the DLC?
Bandai Namco announced a free update alongside the DLC, saying it would introduce new battle mechanics available to all players. The free update and the downloadable expansion are distinct; check the relevant platform storefront for exactly what a particular purchase includes. Bandai Namco’s producer-video announcement
NEO is digital content. Owning a physical copy of the base game does not, by itself, mean the expansion is included; check the listing and edition details for your platform before buying.
