Yes—but only for the limited Beta Weekend in May 2025. On May 9, the Dune: Awakening Team announced that preorders for any edition qualified for access to that event. The weekend has ended, so buying the game now does not unlock it.
Did every preorder qualify?
Yes. In its May 9, 2025 announcement, the Dune: Awakening Team said, “Everyone who has a Dune: Awakening pre-order can now also access the Beta Weekend!” The update applied across editions, including preorders placed during that weekend. It was a change to access for this specific event, not a standing benefit of preordering the game.

How did you access the beta on Steam?
The beta was distributed as a separate “Beta Weekend” product in players’ Steam libraries, rather than as an update to the main game. The team said players who had preordered should see it in their library; restarting Steam might be necessary if it did not appear.

Can you join that beta now?
No. The 2025 Beta Weekend is over, and a current preorder cannot grant access to it. Do not confuse it with the later Public Test Client: Funcom’s help information treats that as a separate test program, not a continuation of the Beta Weekend. Funcom Help Center.
