Neither game is confirmed under $20 today. The prices behind the headline are historical: Elden Ring for PS5 was listed at $19.99 in a U.S. Black Friday comparison for November 19–25, 2023, while Nightreign was reported at $24.99 on Amazon during Black Friday 2025. A later report put Nightreign on Xbox at $19.99 at Woot and its PS5 version at $32.99 in December 2025. Those old offers do not establish current prices on October 8, 2026.

How to check whether a deal is genuinely under $20
Compare like with like before treating a low headline price as a bargain. A console disc, a digital PC copy, and a Deluxe bundle are not equivalent offers.
#1 Best Overall
- Collaborating with George R.R. Martin to create the ELDEN RING mythos has been a genuinely delightful experience and a source of wonderful inspiration. The team is working hard to ensure that the world of ELDEN RING will be a fascinating place for players to explore, filled with peril and wonder from its furthest reaches to its lowest depths. This is a FromSoftware title through and through, rich in fantasy and RPG action. We sincerely hope you look forward to it.
- Building the world of ELDEN RING with Miyazaki-san and his team was a treat! The graphics, mythos, and action-RPG gameplay will deliver an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait for people to see what ELDEN RING has in store for them.” Said George R.R. Martin.
- Platform: Check the exact version—PS4 or PS5, Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, or PC/Steam.
- Edition and contents: Verify whether the listing is standard, Deluxe, or bundled with add-ons.
- Retailer and format: Confirm the seller, whether it is a physical or digital copy, and whether the item is actually in stock.
- Location and final cost: Check your country and currency, plus any shipping or tax shown at checkout.
- Offer terms: Look for the end date and any subscription or other purchase requirement. An Xbox product listing has stated that online multiplayer for Nightreign requires a Game Pass subscription; verify the current plan names and requirements before buying for online play.
Bandai Namco’s official store, PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam listings are useful places to verify the specific edition and platform. A search-result price or old deal article is not a substitute for the retailer’s current checkout page.
Nightreign is a separate game, not an Elden Ring discount edition
Nightreign is a standalone adventure in the Elden Ring universe; owning the original game is not required. Bandai Namco describes three-player co-op, distinct heroes, and a land that changes between sessions. KADOKAWA’s product information also lists single-player support. The game released May 30, 2025, and is listed for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam. Bandai Namco’s official Nightreign page · KADOKAWA product information, July 24, 2025.
Rank #3
- Elden Ring: Nightreign - Seekers Edition /PS5
The Steam Deluxe Edition listing includes the base game, The Forsaken Hollows, two additional Nightfarers, two Day Three bosses, an additional Shifting Earth, and a digital artbook and mini soundtrack. The listing’s DLC price was $15.00 when indexed; check Steam for current contents and price. View the Steam listing.
Don’t confuse Shadow of the Erdtree with the base game
Shadow of the Erdtree is an expansion for Elden Ring, not a standalone replacement for it. The base game is required. If you are deciding what to buy, make sure the listing is for the base game or a bundle that explicitly includes it. Bandai Namco’s official Elden Ring page provides franchise and product updates, including 2026 Tarnished Edition and Tarnished Pack news; check the current listing to distinguish those products from the original game.
Why these old offers don’t establish a current price
The available deal reports date from 2023 and 2025. They document past retailer offers, not prices available on October 8, 2026, and the cited material does not confirm a 2026 Black Friday deal. Even historical official store listings are reference points, not guarantees of today’s regional price or stock.
For context, KADOKAWA reported more than 2 million Nightreign units shipped on its release day and more than 30 million Elden Ring units shipped to date in July 2025. Those are dated shipment figures, not current sales totals or evidence that either game is on sale. KADOKAWA’s May 30, 2025 release announcement · KADOKAWA’s July 24, 2025 product information.
