Before choosing one, check the version your game actually runs and the pack’s stated Bedrock compatibility: “1.23” and “1.22” are the requested search labels, not confirmed current versions. Mojang says Bedrock and Java version numbers in 2026 begin with “26.”
Check your Minecraft version before downloading
“Minecraft PE” is a familiar name for Minecraft on mobile; official documentation refers to the mobile game as part of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. The labels 1.23 and 1.22 do not establish which version is installed on your device. Mojang’s 26.0 changelog says that Bedrock and Java version numbers in 2026 begin with “26.” Check the version displayed by your own game, then look for a pack that explicitly supports it.

A pack’s minimum engine version is another useful signal. Microsoft’s manifest reference defines min_engine_version as the minimum game version the pack was written for. Meeting that minimum does not guarantee that the pack will work perfectly on every device or with every later release, so also read the pack’s compatibility notes.
Download and activate packs through the Marketplace
The in-game Marketplace is the straightforward official route for discovering Bedrock content. Minecraft Help identifies textures, skins, worlds, and mash-up packs as Marketplace content. Browse the Marketplace in your game, choose a texture pack whose details match your version and device, and follow its in-game download flow. Availability and pack details can vary, so confirm them on the listing.

After obtaining a pack, use the game’s Resource Packs settings to activate it. Minecraft Help’s resource-pack guidance covers activation in Bedrock settings. The exact menus can differ by platform and game version; follow the labels shown in your installation.
Texture packs worth investigating

Choose a pack for your style and device
- Visual change: Decide whether you want a close-to-default look, more detail, or a simpler style. Compare screenshots and descriptions before installing.
- Resolution: Higher-resolution textures alter more image detail and may make greater demands on a device, but performance depends on the specific pack and hardware. No device-specific performance results are established here.
- Platform support: Confirm the listing or pack page explicitly says Bedrock and, where relevant, mobile. A Java pack should not be assumed to work on Bedrock.
- Version support: Check the listed game version and minimum engine version, then compare them with the version shown in your game.
- Install route: Marketplace packs use the in-game discovery and download route. External packs require an import process that varies by platform.
Using an external pack and resolving conflicts
Microsoft’s resource-pack tutorial explains the pack structure and texture-file workflow for creators. It is useful for understanding what an external pack contains, but it does not provide one current, universal sideloading walkthrough for Android, iOS, Windows, consoles, and other platforms. Look for platform-specific instructions from the pack’s creator and avoid assuming that a file-import method works everywhere.

If two active packs change the same asset, their order matters. Minecraft Help’s resource-pack troubleshooting guidance says the higher-ranked pack applies when multiple packs affect the same asset. If textures look wrong or a pack seems inactive, review the active-pack order, then disable packs one at a time to identify an overlap.
Vibrant Visuals compatibility
Minecraft’s announcement dated June 17, 2025, said texture packs were not compatible with Vibrant Visuals mode at that time. That is a dated compatibility note, not a guarantee about later releases; check current Minecraft release notes and the pack’s own information before combining the feature with a texture pack.
