Driller Hole is a campaign boss in Borderlands 4, found in Queen’s Cradle in Carcadia Burn during the main mission Unpaid Tab. The boss can be fought again after the first defeat, and a guide reports that Katagawa’s Revenge can drop from the encounter. The available sources do not establish a complete loot table or drop rates.
Where to find Driller Hole
The fight takes place in Queen’s Cradle, in Tonnage Peel, Carcadia Burn, near the Lowrise safehouse. Progress through the Carcadia Burn story missions to reach Unpaid Tab, the campaign mission tied to the encounter. The Epic Games Store campaign guide describes the underground-prison setting, while PC Gamer’s Driller Hole guide identifies the arena and says completing Unpaid Tab unlocks access.

What Driller Hole drops
PC Gamer reports that Katagawa’s Revenge has a chance to drop from Driller Hole. The guide also notes other dedicated drops and says its writer obtained the G.M.R. assault rifle while hunting for Katagawa’s Revenge. That is guide reporting, not a complete or authoritative drop table.
- Katagawa’s Revenge: Reported as a possible drop by PC Gamer; no drop rate is established.
- G.M.R. assault rifle: Reported by the guide’s writer as an item obtained during the hunt, not as a verified exhaustive drop-table entry.
- Other dedicated drops: The guide indicates there are more, but the reviewed sources do not verify their full list or odds.
Do not treat a weekly activity reward as a guaranteed Driller Hole drop. Publisher support listed Driller Hole in a Big Encore rotation dated March 12, 2026, but that is a historical rotation example, not evidence of the current schedule. The same update described a separate Wildcard mission with a repeatable guaranteed Legendary; it did not say Driller Hole itself guaranteed one. How to handle the fight
The Epic Games Store guide characterizes Driller Hole as a ranged-artillery version of Splashzone: it bombards areas and deals Incendiary damage, and Rippers may appear during the fight. Use those documented hazards to guide your approach:
- Move out of bombarded areas. Avoid staying in a spot the boss is targeting; keep repositioning rather than trying to trade damage from a fixed location.
- Check your flanks. Rippers can join the encounter, so scan the sides and rear if enemies begin pressuring you while you focus on the boss.
- Clear adds when they disrupt survival. This is a practical priority based on the reported area attacks and Ripper presence, not a separately verified boss mechanic.
The available encounter guide does not specify a weak point, immunity phase, attack cadence, recommended level, or best build, so there is no sourced basis for prescribing one.

Can you farm Driller Hole?
PC Gamer says the boss can be revisited after the first defeat for farming. The source does not establish a specific reset method, repeat cost, or guaranteed reward, so plan around the possibility of another fight rather than a guaranteed item on each clear.
Driller Hole is not the same thing as a Drill Site. Drill Sites are separate open-world wave activities that end with one or more bosses, are marked by a drill icon, and can be replayed using a Moxxi’s Big Encore machine, according to TheGamer’s Drill Sites guide. The similar names refer to different activities.
