Energy Master is an EIT Manufacturing project proposing a way to coordinate factory production with rooftop solar generation. It is not a video game or a named retail product: the project describes using machine-level energy measurements, AI-based production forecasts and solar-generation forecasts to help factories shift demand toward times when solar power is available.
What is Energy Master?
Energy Master is the name used by an EIT Manufacturing project focused on matching factory electricity demand with rooftop photovoltaic (PV) generation. Its project homepage says the aim is to maximize solar self-consumption and reduce reliance on the grid. The project site describes an industrial energy-management approach, not a finished product available for general purchase.
The name is also used by Energy Master Analytics S.A.S., a separate business whose website describes utility-bill auditing and energy-management services. The available project pages do not establish a relationship between that company and the EIT Manufacturing project, so their services and claims should not be attributed to Energy Master the project.
How does the proposed system work?
The project abstract describes connecting information about production and energy supply so managers can adjust factory operations to solar availability. The proposed sequence is:

- Measure electricity use: Collect fine-grained, real-time energy data for individual machines or processes.
- Predict production: Use those measurements to build AI models that forecast production and its energy needs.
- Forecast solar generation: Compare expected production demand with forecasts of rooftop solar output.
- Adapt operations: Give factory managers information to plan production around solar availability, or automate some processes to run when solar power is available.
This approach focuses on changing or scheduling demand to better match generation. The project abstract also discusses batteries and grid power as ways to balance the intermittency of solar, but does not provide a detailed design for either.
What benefits does the project estimate?
The project abstract presents several figures about European manufacturing: 2 million manufacturers, 29 million employees, nearly 20% of EU gross value added, and 26% of EU energy consumption. It does not identify the underlying statistical source or the reference year, so these should be read as figures presented by the project rather than independently verified current statistics.

The abstract also estimates that increasing solar self-consumption from 50% to 65% could yield €10,500 per factory in 2029 and €3.9 billion per year across Europe. These are conditional, forward-looking estimates from the project—not measured savings or reported deployment results. The abstract does not name an individual author or provide the assumptions behind the calculation.
Who is involved, and what is the project’s status?
The project abstract names Santer Reply, GridDuck, Diversey, TEC Eurolab and Metal Office. Its contact page lists those organizations and Industry Innovation Cluster as implementation-consortium contacts, and names EIT Manufacturing under “Funded by.” The site says the project is co-funded by the European Union.

The homepage carries news items from 2025, including participation in EIT Manufacturing Day on May 9, 2025. The pages describe the project’s aims but do not establish a completed deployment, measured outcomes or commercial availability of a finished system.
What should a factory consider before adopting this approach?
The project description points to three practical dimensions for assessing an implementation. It does not provide a product specification or a vendor comparison.

A three-phase energy meter is a plausible component of an industrial measurement setup, but the project pages do not name a brand, model or technical specification. Meter selection and installation depend on the facility’s electrical system and integration requirements.

The name alone can point to unrelated organizations, so check the context: the EIT Manufacturing project concerns coordinating factory production with rooftop solar, while Energy Master Analytics S.A.S. describes a separate bill-auditing business.
