Earth Must Die is a single-player point-and-click comedy adventure with inventive puzzle setups and a deliberately vulgar, fast-moving sense of humor. PC Gamer reviewer Fraser Brown praised its high-concept puzzles and rapid-fire gags, but found the sexual jokes repetitive and some solutions over-explained. It is most likely to click if you enjoy comedy-led adventures and can tolerate adult humor taking center stage.
What kind of game is Earth Must Die?
Made by Size Five Games and published by No More Robots, Earth Must Die is a single-player adventure built around point-and-click puzzles and interactive-fiction elements. Its official store description is delivered by VValak Lizardtongue, an imperious alien ruler whose account is part of the joke, not neutral narration. He describes a rise to power, an accidental surrender to the Terranoids, and a plan for revenge on Earth, accompanied by Milky, a nursing bot.
The premise sets up a comic reversal: VValak is grandiose, but the player often has to get things done by directing other characters. PC Gamer’s Fraser Brown describes a recurring mechanic in which VValak refuses to touch objects, leaving Milky and other subordinates to handle them. The in-fiction Milkypedia serves as a hint aid when a puzzle stalls.
How do the puzzles and comedy work together?
The puzzles are not just connective tissue between jokes. Brown’s review highlights inventive, high-concept scenarios as a strength, while describing the game as a rapid-fire gag experience that also expects players to solve problems. The comedy frequently drives the setup and payoff of a scene, so players looking for a puzzle-first adventure should expect jokes to be central rather than occasional decoration.

- The Art Of Point-And-Click Adventure Games 3E /Books
Brown’s main reservation is unevenness: he found the sexual jokes could become exhausting, and said some scenes explain puzzle solutions too heavily. That makes the game’s fit less about whether you like point-and-click puzzles in general and more about whether you want to spend a full adventure inside this particular comic voice.
Is Earth Must Die worth playing?
PC Gamer’s Fraser Brown gave the game 70/100 in an individual review published January 27, 2026. His assessment favors the creativity of the puzzles and the pace of the comic scenes, but notes that the humor does not always stay fresh. That is one critic’s judgment, not a consensus score.

How long is Earth Must Die?
Brown reported finishing the game in just under eight hours. That is one reviewer’s playthrough, not an official estimate or an average completion time; your pace may differ depending on how quickly you solve puzzles and whether you use hints.
