“Rap God” became a Fortnite weapon effect in 2024: the Mythic RG Minigun, a virtual gun tied to Eminem’s Chapter 2 Remix boss encounter. It fired bullets with lyrics from the song, and players could obtain it by defeating Eminem at Spaghetti Grotto. This was a limited-time seasonal feature, not a real firearm or a currently available item.
What is Eminem’s Rap God gun?
The item was the RG Minigun, also described as the Mythic RG Minigun. It was a Fortnite Battle Royale weapon; the “Rap God” connection was an in-game audiovisual effect, with lyrics heard or seen coming out along with its bullets, according to GamesRadar+’s guide to the Chapter 2 Remix characters. It was not a physical gun or a real-world product.
How did players get the RG Minigun?
During the season, Eminem appeared as a boss at Spaghetti Grotto. GamesRadar+ reported that defeating him granted the Mythic RG Minigun. The feature began in Week 2, on November 7, 2024; it was a boss reward rather than a regular Item Shop weapon.
When was it available?
The RG Minigun belonged to Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Remix season. Epic Games announced that the season ran from November 2 through November 30, 2024, ending at 10 PM ET; Eminem’s Grotto appearance arrived November 7. Those dates describe a past seasonal feature, not current availability. The sources establish the season timing but do not identify a region-specific difference in access to the weapon. How does the weapon fit into Eminem’s Fortnite appearances?
The 2024 boss and weapon followed an earlier collaboration, but the appearances were separate. Eminem featured in Fortnite’s The Big Bang live event, scheduled for December 2, 2023, and Epic promoted related outfits. That event and its cosmetics were not the RG Minigun; the gun was part of the following year’s Chapter 2 Remix season.
Epic’s announcement of The Big Bang gave the event time as 2 PM ET on December 2, 2023. Its event announcement provides that schedule. Eminem’s official site separately promoted the collaboration, including vinyl and merchandise, in its Eminem x Fortnite announcement. Those collectibles are physical collaboration merchandise, not versions of the in-game weapon.
