Budget for both FP and casting commitment
Breath attacks can cover an area and pressure a group, but they consume FP and leave the caster committed while the attack plays out. That tradeoff is most forgiving when enemies are occupied or when the attack can catch several targets. In PvP, a readable breath can be avoided; Windows Central specifically cautions that opponents may dodge these attacks. The roster gives listed costs for several spells, but the comparison is incomplete for Borealis’s Mist and Dragonmaw.
Count stat and memory demands before buying
These incantations require both Faith and Arcane, and individual requirements differ. Some also take two memory slots, as Bayle’s Flame Lightning and Bayle’s Tyranny do. A spell’s theoretical strength is not useful if its requirements pull a character away from its intended stats or its memory cost crowds out more dependable options.

How Dragon Communion and the seal fit together
Dragon Communion incantations are generally obtained by exchanging Dragon Hearts after defeating particular dragons or wyrms.
