The Electric Field safe is in the Garbage region, southeast of Slag Heap. Its code is 1708.
Where to find the Electric Field safe
Look in the Electric Field area of Garbage, southeast of Slag Heap. A PDA on the roof points to the safe and provides its combination clue; reach the roof using the ladder on the outside of the building, as described in Shacknews’ Electric Field safe walkthrough.

How to open the safe
Enter 1708. The clue’s words map to the digits in order: stick = 1, cobra = 7, porthole = 0, and infinity = 8.
The safe contains food, ammunition, and other supplies, according to Shacknews.

Getting through the Electric Field
The surrounding anomalies can make reaching the area hazardous. GSC’s official anomaly guidance recommends listening for anomaly sounds, watching for visual signs such as flickering or pulsating air, and throwing a bolt ahead to reveal an anomaly. Bolts become available after the prologue.
Some anomalies discharge when struck by a bolt, but the opening lasts only a few seconds. Move promptly when one discharges, and do not assume that this clears the whole field or creates a permanent safe route; GSC does not provide a route specific to this location.

Optional nearby encounter
Shacknews reports an NPC trapped in the field nearby. Getting him to safety can earn the Rat King artifact, which offers protection against bleeding and electrical damage but causes some radiation. Treat this as a separate encounter from opening the safe.
