Piro’s Halloween Special – Psycho Serial Killers (Nexus friendly reupload) adds Halloween-themed serial killers, outfits, a hockey mask and Pumpkin Grenades to Fallout: New Vegas. The Nexus Mods listing is a reduced reupload of an earlier version: it keeps the mask and grenades but leaves out several items from the original.
What the Nexus-friendly reupload includes
The Nexus Mods page lists serial killers and their outfits, a Serial Killer Hockey Mask, and Pumpkin Grenades. Piro says the mask uses an older vanilla mesh with new textures, while the grenades use a different custom-made mesh and textures.

This is the reduced version, not the earlier, fuller release. The creator says the original was taken down by Nexus for using modified models and textures from other Fallout games. The Nexus reupload omits Pumpkin Helmets, a Grim Reaper Scythe and a Killer’s Machete. Piro describes the current upload as a “lite” and “Nexus friendly” version.
The listing identifies the reupload as version 1.0, created by Piro and uploaded and last updated October 26, 2024. That date belongs to this reupload; it does not establish when the original mod first appeared. See the mod listing on Nexus Mods.

What Pumpkin Grenades do
According to Piro’s description, Pumpkin Grenades deal radiation damage and have an effect similar to a fear toxin. Affected enemies have a high chance of going berserk and attacking anyone in sight, including allies. The creator says the effect works best on humans and does not affect robots; smoke indicates which characters are affected. These are the creator’s stated mechanics, not independently verified test results.
How this differs from the 8 Ball Launcher update
Pumpkin Grenades also appear in a separate mod, the 8 Ball Launcher. Its version 1.4 listing describes a Halloween update that adds Pumpkin Grenades and Pumpkin Grenade ammunition. The page says the ammo can cause radiation damage and make affected enemies attack anyone in sight, with humans most susceptible and robots unaffected. That listing was updated October 22, 2024. It is a separate mod from the reduced Halloween Special reupload, so the launcher should not be treated as a requirement for Piro’s mod. See the 8 Ball Launcher listing.

Installation and compatibility
Piro recommends downloading and installing the mod with a mod manager such as Vortex; the page does not say that Vortex is required. The listing is for Fallout: New Vegas on Nexus Mods. Steam identifies the game as moddable, but the available information does not establish compatibility with every game edition, platform or setup. It does not support a claim of console compatibility. View the Steam listing for Fallout: New Vegas.
The creator refers to an earlier version on ModDB, but its current availability is not established here. The Nexus page’s account of why the earlier version was removed also does not verify that any copy elsewhere is complete or safe to install.
