The Antechamber is fixed at Rank 9, but its doors start sealed. To enter, first open one of them from elsewhere in the estate; then draft a room beside the Antechamber to connect to it. The routes below are alternatives, not steps in one guaranteed sequence. Spoilers: the later sections explain the Basement Key, Underground route, and how to reach Room 46.
Where to find the Antechamber
The Antechamber appears at the center of Rank 9 on the blueprint. Unlike an ordinary room, you do not normally draft it directly: draft a room adjacent to it to make a connection. Its doors begin sealed, so you must activate an entry lever elsewhere in the estate first. The Blue Prince Wiki’s Antechamber page describes the room’s position and mechanics.

Choose an entry route
A walkthrough updated in November 2025 describes three ways to open an Antechamber entrance: through the Secret Garden, Great Hall, or Greenhouse. These are guide-reported options, not routes independently tested here; which one is practical depends on what you draft and what items you have. TheGamer’s walkthrough provides the route details.

- Use a key, a Lockpick, or the Foyer route, as available, to reach the hidden lever.
- Pull the lever to open the east Antechamber door.
South route: Greenhouse
- Reach the Greenhouse and obtain a Broken Lever.
- Repair the mechanism and activate it to open the south Antechamber door.
Enter the Antechamber and find the Basement Key
Once an entry door is open, draft an adjacent room at Rank 9 to connect into the Antechamber. On the first visit, the guide reports that a central pedestal holds the Basement Key. A note beside it reads: “To continue up, you must go down.” That clue points toward the Underground as the next part of the route.

Reach the Underground
The walkthrough lists several Underground entrances: Foundation, Fountain, Tomb, Precipice, and Cliffside. It recommends the Foundation route, but that is the guide’s preference rather than a universally best option; access depends on which rooms and connections are available in your run.

Open the north door and reach Room 46
The guide’s route continues through the rotating-gear area to the Inner Sanctum. There, pull the north lever to open the Antechamber’s north door. Return to the Antechamber; the north door provides the path to Room 46. This sequence is the walkthrough’s reported route, not a first-hand tested result.

Room-door and lever states in the Antechamber reset each day, according to the third-party wiki. The walkthrough says the north door remains open after its lever is pulled. Treat these as different state claims: the entry setup may need to be repeated on another day, while the guide reports the north-door unlock persists. Neither source is official patch documentation, so this persistence detail should be treated as guide-reported rather than a universal guarantee.
