Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThe message “Cannot register an account in your region” means registration has been refused because of a regional condition, but it does not identify the exact cause. It could involve account eligibility, the regional app version, location or network detection, or a temporary service problem. PUBG MOBILE’s public materials confirm that regional registration methods exist, but they do not establish the current account-creation rule for PUBG Mobile KR or an official fix for this specific error. The safest next step is to verify your app version and ask PUBG MOBILE support whether registration is available from your country.
What the error tells you—and what it does not
The wording indicates a region-related registration refusal. On its own, it does not tell you whether your country is ineligible, whether you have the wrong regional app, whether the service has misread your location, or whether registration is temporarily unavailable.
PUBG MOBILE’s STAR CHALLENGE page describes region-specific registration methods for esports events, including Korea and Japan, but it does not explain the account-creation rule for PUBG Mobile KR. PUBG MOBILE’s STAR CHALLENGE registration page is event-specific evidence, not a general eligibility guide.
Official regional materials also list Japan and South Korea separately. Instructions for one region should not be assumed to apply to the other. PUBG MOBILE regional information provides that distinction in an esports context, not a current account-registration policy.

Check the app version and record the error
- Confirm which regional app you installed. Check the app name and store or download source, and note the installed version number. Make sure it is the intended KR version rather than a different regional edition.
- Save the exact message. Take a screenshot that includes the full error text and, if possible, the screen where it appears.
- Write down the relevant details. Note your country, device model, operating-system version, network type (such as Wi-Fi or mobile data), and the login method you selected. These specifics can help support investigate the refusal.
- Check for service notices. Look at PUBG MOBILE’s official community channels for access or service announcements before repeatedly attempting registration.
PUBG MOBILE’s privacy policy describes data associated with its services, including device and network information and country code, and says a manually selected region location is used to set up gameplay on a regional server. The policy was last updated May 8, 2020, so it is background on regional handling—not a current explanation of this error. PUBG MOBILE privacy policy.
Contact PUBG MOBILE support about KR eligibility
If the error persists, ask support to confirm whether registration for the KR version is currently available from your country and whether your chosen account or login method is eligible. The official support page directs players with access questions to the in-game Customer Service icon and recommends checking community channels for notices if they cannot get into the game or have not installed it yet.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you try a VPN or clear the cache?
Do not treat a VPN, cache clearing, or switching to a new social login as a confirmed fix. A DigitBin article dated March 14, 2021 recommends clearing the cache and connecting to a Korean VPN during registration, then disconnecting afterward. That is an old third-party suggestion; PUBG MOBILE’s reviewed support information does not endorse it or confirm that it resolves this error. Do not use a network workaround to evade regional eligibility rules. DigitBin’s 2021 guide.
