Farming Simulator VR is no longer upcoming: GIANTS Software says it launched on February 28, 2025, for Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest Pro. The standalone game adapts farming into hands-on VR activities, from sowing and harvesting to tending greenhouse vegetables and maintaining machinery.
Release date and supported Quest headsets
GIANTS Software announced Farming Simulator VR as available on February 28, 2025. Its launch announcement lists four compatible headsets:
- Meta Quest 2
- Meta Quest 3
- Meta Quest 3S
- Meta Quest Pro
These are the models named by the publisher; check the official launch announcement and the current store listing for availability in your region. The sources cited here do not establish the current price.
What you do in Farming Simulator VR
The game brings several farm tasks into VR, combining field work with greenhouse growing and equipment care. GIANTS describes these activities in its game announcement and official game listing.

Plant and harvest crops
Players sow and harvest field crops while operating agricultural vehicles. The publisher presents the experience as hands-on farming rather than only managing a farm from menus.
Grow vegetables in a greenhouse
Greenhouse play adds growing and hand-picking vegetables, giving players a different kind of task from driving machinery across fields.

Maintain and clean machinery
Equipment care includes replacing parts and using a pressure washer to clean machinery. These are virtual activities within the game; the official descriptions do not say players need to buy physical tools.
Brands and the game’s VR approach
GIANTS names Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, and John Deere among the represented equipment brands. Its announcement also names Kubota. These are examples, not a complete equipment list.

The publisher says Farming Simulator VR was designed around VR interactions and short-session activities while retaining the franchise’s focus on building and managing a farm. That is GIANTS Software’s description of its design intent, not an independent measure of immersion or player experience. Boris Stefan, GIANTS Software’s CSO and Head of Publishing, said the game was “designed from the ground up with VR interactions in mind.”

GIANTS Software reported that the Farming Simulator franchise had sold more than 40 million units worldwide since 2008 in a January 30, 2025, press release. That is a franchise-wide figure, not sales of Farming Simulator VR. The publisher materials cited here do not report VR-specific sales, review scores, or measured immersion results.

For the current details that matter most before playing—regional availability and price—check the live store listing for your headset. The publisher’s launch announcement establishes the supported Quest models and release date, but not whether a particular listing or price is unchanged today.
