Players joined Team Foundation or Team Ice King, and the season-winning team determined which one final outfit Battle Pass owners unlocked: Frost-Ready Foundation or Exalted Frost Ice King.
How the final reward choice worked
Epic Games introduced the Showdown team contest in its March 19, 2026 season announcement. Players sided with Team Foundation or Team Ice King. At season’s end, the winning side decided which of the two outfits would be the final Battle Pass reward. Epic said everyone with the Battle Pass would unlock the outfit selected by that team.

That makes the choice collective, not an individual selection between two cosmetics. The announcement names Frost-Ready Foundation and Exalted Frost Ice King, but does not provide a detailed visual comparison of the outfits or suggest that either grants a gameplay advantage.
How Rivalry gameplay contributed
Epic described players going head-to-head with rivals. Winning rivalries earned points for a player’s side and Rival Credits. The announcement does not spell out the full scoring formula or tie-breaking rules, so those details cannot be established from that description.

What the launch announcement said about the pass
At launch, Epic stated that the Battle Pass cost 800 V-Bucks or was available through Fortnite Crew. It also offered a launch-week exclusive Stealth Tech Foundation bonus style and accessories to players who purchased before March 26, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET. These were dated launch terms, not a statement of current availability.
The announcement separately listed leaderboard prizes: an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition graphics card, a PlayStation 5, and Fortnite merchandise. Those promotional prizes were not the final Battle Pass outfit.

Could the outfits appear in the Shop later?
Epic Games Support’s Battle Pass guidance says Battle Pass rewards are earned through progression and that the pass is purchased in-game. It also says Battle Pass items may be available in the Fortnite Shop at least 18 months after the pass expires. That is a general possibility, not a promise that either Showdown outfit will return.

Fortnite has also offered more direct reward selection. In its June 8, 2021 explanation of the Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass, Epic described Battle Stars that players could spend to claim many rewards in their preferred order. Page unlock requirements applied, and some rewards stayed locked until other rewards on the page had been claimed. That system let players shape the order of many claims; Chapter 7 Season 2’s final outfit instead depended on the team contest’s result.
