These are troubleshooting clues, not definitive diagnoses. Work through the matching checks below, changing one thing at a time.
Tell connection lag from FPS drops
- Likely connection trouble: skills respond late, characters jump or teleport, or the game shows reconnection notices.
- Likely performance trouble: animation stutters or looks uneven even when actions appear to register promptly.
These symptoms can overlap, so use them to choose what to test first rather than treating them as proof. This distinction is a practical heuristic described by MLBB Updates, not an official MOONTON diagnostic.
If actions are delayed, check the connection
- Compare under similar conditions. Retry a match using the same network and in a similar setting, then compare with another available connection if practical. If the problem follows one connection, investigate that connection; if it persists across them, continue with the other checks.
- Use the current in-game network test if available. The tutorial matching the original 2022 title includes a network test, but it does not establish that the same option or menu path remains in every current version. Look in the installed game’s current settings rather than relying on an old path.
- Check whether other apps are affected. If several apps or games have connection problems on the same network, the issue may not be specific to Mobile Legends.
If animation stutters, reduce performance load
- Review current game settings. Lower graphics or frame-rate demands if the installed version offers those controls. Options and labels can vary; do not assume the 2022 tutorial’s menu names still match.
- Close background apps. Retry after closing apps you are not using, then compare with the same game conditions.
- Review power-saving behavior. If a battery saver or similar mode is active, check whether disabling it changes gameplay. Power settings differ across devices, and the tutorial’s recommendation is not a guaranteed fix.
- Check available storage and software updates. Review the device’s storage and update settings, and install available updates when appropriate. The 2022 video includes these checks, but does not provide controlled evidence that any one of them improves FPS.
- Restart the device. After restarting, retry before changing another setting so you can judge whether the result changed.
The checklist of settings, network and performance tests, updates, background apps, storage, battery saver, and restarting comes from Cederic Schmid’s 2022 tutorial. It is a set of suggestions, not a tested sequence or a promise of improvement. Mobile Legends and phone operating systems have since changed; MOONTON’s support site search listing showed patch 2.2.16 dated 2026-09-16, so verify available controls in the current game and device settings: MOONTON Games support.
Use a repeatable check to find what helps
Change one setting at a time and retry in comparable conditions. Note whether the issue occurs only in Mobile Legends or elsewhere, whether it starts immediately or after longer play, and whether it recurs on different connections. A problem that appears later is not by itself proof of overheating: a busier scene may also be harder for a device to render.

When the issue persists
Before asking for help, record your device model, operating-system version, game version, network type, approximate time, and whether you saw delayed actions, reconnection notices, or stuttering. The Google Play listing identifies an in-game Contact Us route; use the support option visible in your installed game, since the available information does not confirm every regional or iOS support flow: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang on Google Play.
If you play on an emulator
BlueStacks guidance is for Mobile Legends running on the BlueStacks 5 emulator on a computer, not for native Android or iOS phones. BlueStacks suggests allocating more RAM and CPU cores or lowering in-game graphics for low FPS or lag. Its separate Speed Mode workaround concerns certain matchmaking errors and is likewise emulator-specific; do not apply it as a general phone fix.
