The earlier incident was tied to the v15.20 update; it does not establish that the track is currently missing for everyone or that Epic has set a new restoration date.
What is confirmed about the reported second removal?
The claim that Fortnite unintentionally removed the Flip Reset Lobby Track for a second time should be treated as a report, not an officially confirmed outage. A community post dated August 25, 2026 recalls the track disappearing and returning previously, but that recollection does not verify a new removal. No current Epic or Fortnite statement confirming the second incident or giving a restoration schedule was located as of October 8, 2026. Read the community discussion.
That distinction matters: the available record supports a prior Locker issue, not a confirmed repeat or a promise that the earlier fix will happen again.
What happened the first time?
During Fortnite’s v15.20 period in January 2021, players reported that the Flip Reset Lobby Track had disappeared from their Lockers. A community discussion reproduced Fortnite Status wording saying owners would be regranted the track with v15.20, and contemporaneous coverage described the removal as inadvertent and identified that update as the restoration point. These are historical accounts of the earlier incident, not evidence of a current fix. Community discussion reproducing the status wording · Contemporaneous v15.20 report.

Why is the track associated with Rocket League?
The Flip Reset emote and lobby track were part of a late-2020 music campaign involving Kaskade, Rocket League Season 2, and Epic Games. Monstercat’s 2021 electronic press kit describes its multi-month partnership with Epic around Kaskade’s Reset EP and names both Fortnite items. In discussing the campaign, Psyonix Audio Director Mike Ault said, “We are basically using Rocket League as a vehicle for music discovery.” That quote describes the campaign’s music-discovery approach; it says nothing about Locker removals. Monstercat EPK 2021.
What should players do if the track is missing?
The historical reports do not establish a remedy for a possible second incident. They also do not support claims that restarting the game, reinstalling Fortnite, contacting support, or buying anything will restore the track. Until Epic or Fortnite publishes a current status update, the careful conclusion is that the reported disappearance has not been independently confirmed here and no restoration timing is established.
