Disney and Epic Games announced a multiyear collaboration to build a connected games and entertainment universe linked to Fortnite. The plan spans Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar and more, but it is not the same as saying that one complete Disney universe has launched in Fortnite. Specific previews and later activations—including a Star Wars in-game premiere and creator tools—have arrived on their own timelines.
What is the Disney–Fortnite collaboration?
On February 7, 2024, The Walt Disney Company and Epic Games announced a multiyear collaboration to create an open, persistent games and entertainment universe connected to Fortnite. Disney said people would be able to play, watch, shop and engage with stories and characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar and other properties. The announcement also included Disney’s planned $1.5 billion investment to acquire an equity stake in Epic Games, subject to customary closing conditions. Disney’s announcement describes the intended scope; its terms should be understood as a plan, not proof that a finished universe with every feature is already available.
Disney CEO Robert A. Iger called the relationship a way to bring Disney brands and franchises together with Fortnite in “a transformational new games and entertainment universe.” Epic CEO and founder Tim Sweeney described the goal as “a persistent, open and interoperable ecosystem” joining Disney and Fortnite communities. These are the companies’ descriptions of what they intend to build, rather than independently verified technical characteristics of a launched product.
What Disney characters and franchises were announced for Fortnite?
The broad agreement named Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar and more. That list describes the collaboration’s planned universe, not a complete catalogue of characters already playable in Fortnite. Disney later gave specific previews at its August 2024 D23 presentation: a Marvel-themed Battle Royale season, new Star Wars characters and items, and The Incredibles as the first Pixar characters coming to Fortnite that fall. Disney’s D23 recap records what was previewed then; a preview does not establish whether a particular item is currently obtainable in the game shop.

Are The Incredibles in Fortnite?
Disney specifically previewed The Incredibles as upcoming Fortnite content at D23 in August 2024. That establishes the announced plan at the time, but the preview alone does not confirm current item-shop availability or provide a complete, current list of Pixar content.
What Star Wars content has come to Fortnite?
Star Wars provides examples of individual activations that followed the broader announcement. In 2025, Epic announced a Star Wars-themed Battle Royale season. Disney also announced an in-game premiere of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld ahead of the series’ May 4, 2025 Disney+ debut. Epic’s Fortnite news and Disney’s announcement described these as expanded Star Wars integrations. The premiere brought a specific series story into Fortnite; it did not by itself mean the entire connected Disney universe had launched.

How many people watched Fortnite’s Marvel live event?
Disney reported that its 2024 Marvel Nexus War with Galactus live event drew more than 15.3 million concurrent players. That figure is Disney’s report about that particular past event; it is not a count of all Fortnite players or a measure of the collaboration’s current reach. Disney’s collaboration announcement includes the statistic.

What to know before looking for content
- Distinguish the long-term Disney–Epic plan from a specific season, premiere, creator tool or shop item.
- Use current official Fortnite or Disney listings to check whether a particular experience, item or account reward is available; previews and past events do not guarantee current availability.
- Treat the October 31, 2026 account-link reward deadline as an offer end date, not a promise that the reward or other content will remain available afterward.
