The Fremen Deathstill is a powered base structure in Dune: Awakening that extracts water from a corpse. The community wiki lists two versions: the standard Deathstill and the Advanced Fremen Deathstill. The advanced version has a higher listed yield and shorter processing time, but also a higher power cost. The figures below are community-wiki game data, not official specifications, and may change with updates.
What the Fremen Deathstill does
The Fremen Deathstill item page describes a complex device that extracts water from a corpse. To use it as a base structure, place it near a Sub-Fief Console with the Construction Tool and supply power from a base generator. The wiki’s listed power cost is 200.
In the game’s fictional lore, the community wiki’s Codex describes a deathstill as a receptacle that drains and filters fluids from a corpse for water, with waste diverted separately. This is an in-universe description, not real-world guidance.

The wiki does not state a unit for the yield figure. See the standard Deathstill page for its listed entry.
How to unlock the Fremen Deathstill
A PC Gamer guide published August 8, 2025, places the final Trial of Aql in the Footsteps of the Fremen sequence at Sietch Ta’lab and identifies the Fremen Deathstill schematic as an unlock. A separate community quest page lists the Advanced Fremen Deathstill as a reward for The Footsteps of the Fremen. These are guide and community-wiki accounts rather than official publisher documentation, so check the current quest objectives and rewards in game.

Standard vs. Advanced Fremen Deathstill
The community wiki item pages list the following comparison:
| Listed detail | Fremen Deathstill | Advanced Fremen Deathstill |
|---|---|---|
| Build components | Steel Bar, Silicone, T2 Machine Component | Duraluminum Rod, Silicone, T2 Machine Component |
| Power cost | 200 | 350 |
| Water capacity | 500 | 500 |
| Processing time | 1 hour | 50 minutes |
| Total yield | 25,000 | 45,000 |
According to the Advanced Fremen Deathstill page, the advanced variant’s listed yield is 45,000 and processing time is 50 minutes, compared with 25,000 and 1 hour on the standard page. Its listed power cost is also higher, at 350 versus 200. Because the wiki does not define the yield unit or provide controlled performance context, these figures alone do not establish an overall efficiency advantage.

The item values come from fan-maintained community-wiki pages, not official Funcom documentation. A guide about the unlock route was published in 2025, and quest rewards or structure data can change in patches. Treat the numbers and progression route as the pages’ listed information, and confirm current requirements in game if exact details matter.
