The Version 5.0 Spiral Abyss lineup was discussed in a leak-era HoYoLAB post before the rotation began, but the available post text does not verify a complete enemy roster. The rotation that went live after the September 16, 2024 update ran through October 15, 2024. Here is what can be established about its rules and the enemies named in contemporary coverage—without presenting it as a current Abyss guide.
When the Version 5.0 lineup went live
HoYoverse’s Version 5.0 update summary said the monster lineups on Floors 9–12 would be updated. The change took effect after the September 16, 2024 Spiral Abyss update. The archived rotation page dates this layout from September 16 through October 15, 2024: the September 16, 2024 Spiral Abyss archive and the Version 5.0 update summary.
This is a historical account of that rotation, not advice for the current Spiral Abyss.
What the leak-era discussion established
A HoYoLAB community post titled “Abyss 5.0 Lineup” appeared on September 4, 2024, before the rotation took effect. Its lineup was represented in images that are not available in the retrieved post text, so the post’s title confirms the topic was being discussed, but does not independently verify each enemy or placement: the September 4 HoYoLAB post.

A September 15 gameplay guide covered Floors 11 and 12 around the rotation’s launch. It named Jadeplume Terrorshroom, Maguu Kenki, Fatui Skirmishers, and Kongamato the Gluttonous Yumkasaur King as examples of enemies in its coverage. Those names are useful indicators of the encounter themes, but the guide is not a complete chamber-by-chamber roster: the September 15 floor 11–12 guide.
Floor rules and the first Contending Moon phase
The update summary documented these floor-specific bonuses for the Version 5.0 rotation:

These are in-game rules listed in the Version 5.0 update summary, not results from an external test. They indicate which damage types and character states received bonuses, but they do not establish one universally best team. The source does not state a numerical value for Floor 10’s increase or the Contending Moon damage buff.

The dated archive establishes the rotation window, but its chamber tables are not exposed in the available page text. The community post’s images likewise cannot be used here to confirm placements. As a result, exact enemy counts, chamber halves, and wave order cannot be verified from these sources. Listing those details as fact would overstate what the available records establish.
