When did Ghost of Yōtei come out?
The worldwide PS5 release date was October 2, 2025. PlayStation first announced that date on April 23, 2025, and Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed on October 2 that the game was available worldwide.

That makes the October 2025 date a completed release, not a future launch window. The announcement was specifically for PS5; the official materials cited here do not establish a PC release date.
What kind of game is Ghost of Yōtei?
Developed by Sucker Punch Productions, Ghost of Yōtei is a standalone experience set in rural Japan in the 1600s, 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima. It follows Atsu, a wandering mercenary pursuing the people who killed her family. It is set in the same broader world as Ghost of Tsushima, but Sony describes it as a standalone story rather than a direct story sequel.

What is in the Complete Edition?
Announced in August 2026, the Complete Edition includes the main game, the online co-op mode Ghost of Yōtei Legends, the narrative expansion Echoes of Sekigahara, the single-player combat survival mode Most Wanted, and previously released Digital Deluxe content. Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted are delivered through patch v2.0 or later; they were not part of the original October 2025 launch edition.

The Complete Edition announcement listed a U.S. price of $69.99 and an upgrade for existing owners at $14.99 USD. These are the prices stated in Sony’s August 2026 announcement, not a guarantee of current local pricing. The announced patch v2.0 timing was October 1, 2026, globally, and October 2 in some territories, including Asia, Australia, and New Zealand; availability may vary by region. Ghost of Yōtei Legends supports online co-op for up to four players, and online multiplayer requires PlayStation Plus.
