No—the documented Epic Games Store giveaway for Hogwarts Legacy ended on December 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET. If you did not claim it during that window, Epic does not let you redeem that past offer later. You can watch for future promotions or check your platform’s store to see whether the game is available to buy.
Can you still claim the free Epic Games Store copy?
No. Epic’s 2025 Holiday Sale announcement said Hogwarts Legacy would be free through December 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET. That deadline has passed, so the giveaway is no longer claimable.
Epic Games Store Support explains that free promotions last for a limited time and that a game must be claimed within its stated period. Its guidance for missed giveaways recommends keeping an eye on future promotions and special offers; it does not promise that a missed game will be offered again.
What can you do if you missed the giveaway?
- Watch Epic’s future offers: A later promotion is possible, but no repeat of this giveaway is guaranteed.
- Check your platform’s store: The publisher lists the game for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Availability and current offers depend on your region and the store you use.
- Compare editions before buying: Check the selected platform’s listing for the exact contents and terms rather than assuming editions are identical across stores.
