Roblox’s current official materials do not confirm where—or whether—a Star Code can be entered in today’s purchase flow, so there is no verified current step-by-step Star Code checkout tutorial to give. Here’s how to tell the code types apart and use the redemption routes Roblox does document.
What a Roblox Star Code is—and what it isn’t
Roblox connects Star Codes with its Video Stars program, an exclusive partnership for video and livestream creators. The program page describes benefits such as support access, opportunities, monetization perks, and verification, and provides an application route; it does not say that every applicant is accepted. See Roblox’s Video Stars program page.
A Star Code is discussed in the context of supporting a creator. It is not the same thing as a Roblox gift-card code, a code for a virtual item, or a generic promotional code. Roblox’s help page for gift cards and promotional codes documents those redemption categories, but does not establish that a Star Code is entered there.
Where do you enter a Roblox Star Code?
Roblox’s current Creator Rewards documentation says that its “Engagement Based Payouts and Creator Affiliate programs have been discontinued and replaced with Creator Rewards.” The page describes the newer rewards program, but does not specifically explain the Star Code interface or confirm a current checkout field for entering one. Because of that gap, older instructions claiming a particular purchase-screen path may no longer match the live experience. Check Roblox’s current purchase flow and official Video Stars information rather than entering a Star Code on an unrelated redemption page. Roblox Creator Rewards documentation.

Creator Rewards figures are not Star Code rates. Roblox’s documentation describes 5 Robux per qualifying Daily Engagement Reward, a 35% revenue share on the first $100 of qualifying purchases for qualifying Audience Expansion Rewards, and an Active Spender definition that includes $9.99 in qualifying purchases during the previous 60 days. It also describes a 10-minute engagement condition for the cited Daily Engagement and Audience Expansion rewards. These details apply to Creator Rewards as documented by Roblox, not to what a player receives by using a Star Code.
How Star Codes differ from other Roblox codes
| Code type | Purpose | Where it comes from | Where it is entered |
|---|---|---|---|
| Star Code | Associated with supporting a Video Stars creator | Roblox’s Video Stars creator program | Current entry route not confirmed by the official materials cited here |
| Gift-card code | Adds value to a Roblox account | A Roblox gift card | Roblox’s gift-card redemption route |
| Promotional code | May provide credit, Robux, or a virtual item, depending on the code | A Roblox promotion | Roblox’s code redemption route |
| Toy or virtual-item code | Unlocks a virtual item | Eligible toy or other virtual-item offer | Roblox’s code redemption route |
Roblox’s code redemption page and gift-card help guide explain gift-card and promotional-code redemption. Neither source establishes that a Star Code belongs in that flow.

How to redeem a toy or virtual-item code
Codes bundled with certain Jazwares figures, Nerf blasters, Monopoly products, and other virtual-item offers are item codes—not verified Star Codes. Roblox’s toy and virtual-item code instructions direct players to sign in to the intended account, open the code redemption page, enter the code, and redeem it. Then check the relevant inventory category for the item. Roblox says virtual-item codes can be redeemed once per account and that the resulting items cannot be traded or sold.

Do not treat a Star Code as a free-Robux offer or assume it gives you a discount. Roblox explicitly warns that purported Robux generators and free-Robux offers are scams: “There is no such thing as a Robux Generator.” Use Roblox’s official guidance on ways to get Robux, and avoid sites or messages asking for your password in exchange for Robux or code access.
