What the reported deal included
Slickdeals reported the $47.99 Amazon price on October 6, 2026, with black and purple options listed. The offer was limited to Prime members and included free shipping; the seller was identified as 8BitDo Official via Amazon. The report establishes that the controller recently sold below $60 under those conditions, but it does not establish today’s price or availability. Check the listing’s final checkout price and seller before placing an order.
Make sure you have the right Ultimate 2
8BitDo sells similarly named controllers, and their compatibility claims are not interchangeable. This deal concerns the Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller, not the Ultimate 2 Bluetooth Controller or Ultimate 2.4G Controller. The manufacturer lists 2.4G and wired connections for Windows, Bluetooth for Android and Apple platforms, and SteamOS compatibility for the Wireless model. Its stated minimum operating-system versions are Windows 10 (1903), Android 13, SteamOS 3.7.13, and Apple operating systems 26. See 8BitDo’s Ultimate 2 Wireless specifications.
The reviewed manufacturer specifications for the Wireless model do not list Nintendo Switch compatibility. By contrast, 8BitDo’s separate Ultimate 2 Bluetooth Controller page says that model is compatible with Switch and Switch 2, subject to a firmware update. Do not assume that statement applies to the Wireless version.

What comes with the Wireless model
The $47.99 offer is for a controller with more than the basic controls. 8BitDo lists TMR joysticks, switchable linear Hall Effect and non-linear tactile trigger modes, L4/R4 fast bumpers, two rear paddle buttons, six-axis motion control, RGB Fire Ring, vibration, turbo, three profiles, and support for Ultimate Software V2. The package includes a charging dock, 2.4G adapter, USB cable, and instruction manual. The compatible Mobile Gaming Clip is sold separately; the included dock and adapter are not extra purchases required for standard use.
How the price compares with the listed retail price
GamesRadar+’s 2026 guide lists the Ultimate 2 at $59.99 in the US and £59.99 in the UK, and assesses its value in the Switch 2 controller market. Those figures provide price context, not a guarantee of the current retail price or a like-for-like comparison with every variant. Confirm the exact model and local listing before comparing offers. What to know about the feature claims
8BitDo describes the TMR sticks as “offering higher sensitivity, greater precision, and enhanced durability—all while consuming less power.” That is the manufacturer’s product claim, not an independent test result. The company also reports 1ms latency and 1000Hz polling for 2.4G operation, but labels the latency and polling data as measured in ideal laboratory conditions. Treat those as vendor specifications rather than a guarantee of performance in every setup.
GamesRadar+ cites stressful Switch 2 setup, inability to wake Switch 2 from sleep, and RGB sticks drawing battery as drawbacks for the Ultimate 2 it evaluates. Those are that publication’s assessment and should be considered alongside the model distinction: its Switch 2 discussion does not establish that the Ultimate 2 Wireless is Switch-compatible.
