All three headline claims were confirmed when Genshin Impact Version 4.6 arrived in April 2024: it added two Fontaine areas, two artifact sets and Arlecchino as a weekly boss. The update is historical, not upcoming content. Here is what the official materials confirmed and how the new artifact effects work.
Did Version 4.6 add a new map?
Yes. HoYoverse’s Version 4.6 update details, posted April 23, 2024, made two areas available in Fontaine: the Nostoi Region and the Sea of Bygone Eras. The official preview describes Petrichor as the starting point for an adventure into the submerged Sea of Bygone Eras, tied to the ancient kingdom of Remuria. The April 12, 2024 PlayStation.Blog preview gave April 24 as the release date; that is distinct from the date the update notes were posted.
Were the two new artifact sets real?
Yes. The update notes named Unfinished Reverie and Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy, both available in four-star and five-star rarities from the Domain of Blessing: Faded Theater. Each set grants ATK +18% from its two-piece bonus; their four-piece effects have different triggers.
Unfinished Reverie
After the wearer has been out of combat for three seconds, the four-piece effect increases damage dealt by 50%. Once in combat, if no Burning opponents are nearby for more than six seconds, that bonus decreases by 10% per second until it reaches zero. If a Burning opponent is present, it instead increases by 10% until it reaches 50%. The effect can trigger while the wearer is off-field.

Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy
When the wearer’s Bond of Life value rises or falls, the four-piece effect increases the character’s damage by 18% for six seconds. It can stack up to three times.
Those mechanics do not establish a universal best set. A practical comparison depends on whether a team can meet and maintain the relevant condition: nearby Burning opponents for Unfinished Reverie, or Bond of Life changes for Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy.
Did Arlecchino become a weekly boss?
Yes. The preview identifies Arlecchino, also known as the Knave, as both a recruitable team member and a weekly boss encountered in a new Trounce Domain. HoYoverse Studio Technical Director Zhenzhong Yi wrote in the preview: “After the crisis of Fontaine, the Fourth of the Fatui Harbingers is finally ready to meet us again as both a recruitable team member and a formidable Weekly Boss.”

The more precise version is that the update introduced two named areas rather than simply an unspecified “new map,” and that the artifact sets have distinct conditional effects rather than interchangeable bonuses.
