GamesBeat reported on July 15, 2024 that Istanbul-based Grand Games had announced a $3 million pre-seed round. The studio said the capital would support developing mobile games, building the team and further developing each game. The announcement was about financing a slate of titles rather than a single launch.
The reported lead investor differs by source. GamesBeat named Earlybird Digital East Fund as lead, with Laton Ventures participating. Grand Games’ company timeline later places the pre-seed in February 2024 and names Bek Ventures as lead, with Laton Ventures participating. The sources therefore do not establish a single agreed lead investor or date: February is the company timeline’s round entry, while July 15 is GamesBeat’s publication date for its announcement. Magic Sort!
GamesBeat described Magic Sort! as a color-matching puzzle in soft launch in the United States on iOS and Android when the funding story was published. Grand Games’ timeline records the game’s publication in April 2024. These dated reports do not establish its current availability or status.

GamesBeat said Car Match was due later in July 2024. Grand Games’ timeline records its soft launch in July. The announcement did not establish a later full-release date.
A planned social-focused flagship
GamesBeat reported that Grand Games planned a flagship centered on social interaction for 2025. That was a forward-looking plan in July 2024; the available dated information here does not confirm whether or when that title launched.

How the studio described its development approach
In the July 2024 GamesBeat article, Grand Games said it used AI for up to 30% of each game’s codebase and Midjourney to generate artwork. The studio presented those tools as a way to iterate faster and shorten the player-feedback loop. The reported percentage and use of tools describe the company’s approach at that time; they are not independent measurements of development speed or quality.
Co-founder and CEO Bekir Batuhan Çelebi told GamesBeat: “We saw how fragmented mobile game development had become and took the opportunity to build a radically different company to what we were seeing in the market.”
