Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced has higher PC requirements than GTA V Legacy. Rockstar lists an SSD and 105 GB of storage as required; its recommended graphics cards are the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 8 GB or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT 8 GB. Compare your full system against the requirements below before buying or upgrading.
GTA V Enhanced PC system requirements
Rockstar’s system-requirements page, last updated December 10, 2025, lists these requirements for the Windows Enhanced edition. The minimum column is the published baseline, not a promise of a particular frame rate or image quality.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10, build 1909 or above | Windows 11 |
| Processor | Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD FX-9590 | Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB dual-channel RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1630 with 4 GB VRAM or AMD Radeon RX 6400 with 4 GB VRAM | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with 8 GB VRAM or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT with 8 GB VRAM |
| Storage | 105 GB; SSD required | 105 GB; DirectStorage-compatible drive |
| Audio | DirectX 10-compatible sound card | Windows Spatial Sound-compatible system; Dolby Atmos support is required for the Dolby Atmos experience |
Rockstar notes that downloadable content and programming changes can affect requirements. Check its current system-requirements page before spending money on hardware. The page also lists Legacy separately; its lower requirements do not apply to Enhanced.
How to tell whether your PC can run Enhanced
Compare your actual components against the minimum column first, then the recommended column if you want to align your system with Rockstar’s recommended tier. Check all of these, not just the graphics card:

#1 Best Overall
- System: AMD Ryzen 7 8700F 4.1GHz 8 Cores | AMD B850 Chipset | 16GB DDR5 | 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD | Windows 11 Home

- CPU: Identify the exact processor model and compare it with the listed Intel or AMD option.
- GPU and VRAM: Confirm both the graphics-card model and its dedicated video memory. Meeting a GPU model name without the listed VRAM is not the same match.
- RAM: Check installed capacity; for the recommended specification, confirm 16 GB is installed in a dual-channel configuration.
- Storage: Make sure you have 105 GB available on an SSD. Rockstar recommends a DirectStorage-compatible drive.
- Windows and audio: Check the Windows version and whether your sound hardware and setup meet the relevant audio requirement.
If any part of your system falls short of the minimum, the requirements do not establish that upgrading one component alone will make the whole PC compatible. Compare the complete configuration before deciding what, if anything, to replace. The RTX 3060 and RX 6600 XT are examples of Rockstar’s recommended GPU tier, not universal upgrade recommendations; the page does not provide a performance guarantee for a particular computer.
What Enhanced adds on PC
Rockstar’s product listing describes ray-tracing features for ambient occlusion, global illumination, shadows, and reflections; support for AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS; faster loading using SSD and DirectStorage on supported devices; and 3D audio. It also lists exclusive content for GTA Online players. These are vendor feature descriptions, not independent performance tests or a promise of a specific resolution, frame rate, or improvement on your hardware. See the Rockstar Store product page for the edition’s current feature details.

Enhanced, Legacy, purchase, and progress migration
Rockstar’s PC store listing says the purchase includes both GTAV Enhanced and GTAV Legacy. Legacy is included for hardware that does not meet Enhanced’s minimum requirements. The listing showed $29.99 when checked on October 8, 2026; price can change and may vary by region, so confirm the amount shown for your location before buying.
For current PC players, Rockstar describes a one-time migration from Legacy to Enhanced for both Story Mode progress and GTA Online characters and progression. The policy does not establish that a player can repeat the transfer, so do not assume additional migrations are available. Check the current product listing for the latest wording.

Account and internet requirements
A Rockstar Games account is required on PC for installation, online play, and certain online features, according to Rockstar Support. Rockstar’s requirements page also says internet access is needed for activation, online play, and periodic entitlement verification. Plan on needing connectivity and an account; the published requirements do not promise account-free installation or unrestricted offline access.

No. GTA+ is an optional membership, not a requirement for playing GTA V Enhanced.
