“Wasteland, Hark Back Glory of Old” is the fourth Heroic Saga of Flame-Chase Trailblaze Mission in Amphoreus. To finish it, follow the route through the Strife Ruins of Castrum Kremnos, use Oronyx’s Prayer to restore paths and reset mechanisms, solve Prophecy Tablets, and use the Hand of Zagreus to clear obstacles. This walkthrough covers the mission route and points out where text-only puzzle directions are not reliable enough to give a definitive piece-by-piece solution.
How to unlock “Wasteland, Hark Back Glory of Old”
Game8 lists Trailblaze Level 34 or above and completion of “Night Stars, Accompany My Slumber” as the unlock requirements. The Honkai: Star Rail Wiki describes the mission as beginning automatically after the preceding mission. The quest takes place in the Strife Ruins of Castrum Kremnos, Amphoreus. Walkthrough: restore the route and take Mydei’s challenge
Use Oronyx’s Prayer to cross the ruins
Follow the mission marker into the Strife Ruins and finish the opening dialogue. When broken bridges block your way, use Oronyx’s Prayer to restore them, then proceed through Janus’ Hidden Passage.
Collect Kremnos Crests during the contest
After Mydei separates from the group, the mission presents a crest-collecting contest. Game8’s target is more than 30 Kremnos Crests; it recommends defeating enemies along the route. Beebom reports that the outcome changes some dialogue but has no other consequences or rewards. Treat the threshold as an optional challenge objective, not a gate to special loot. First Prophecy Tablet and safe-zone investigation
Complete the first tablet
The guides direct you to solve a Prophecy Tablet before crossing a chain bridge. Game8’s written shorthand places a square in the middle and triangles on either lower side. Because shape descriptions can be ambiguous without the board’s exact layout, use the in-game tablet diagram to confirm which pieces fit each space rather than relying on that phrase alone.
Investigate the safe zone to collect information
In the safe zone, inspect the stone tablet on the table and the blue mark on the ground. Then go through the door on the right to continue.

Reset the ball mechanism and open the next door
Reset the ball with the Miracle Orb
At the top of the stairs, interact with the Miracle Orb, then use Oronyx’s Prayer on the ball. Continue toward the main area and defeat the enemies there, including the encounter Game8 labels Furiae Praetor.
Solve the next Prophecy Tablet
A Prophecy Tablet blocks the next door. Game8 says to place the triangles at the bottom first, followed by the smaller triangles at the top, while Beebom describes the arrangement differently. Those text directions do not establish one unambiguous piece placement. Follow the shapes and slots shown on your in-game tablet instead of combining the two descriptions into a single solution.

Use the Hand of Zagreus to clear the blocked route
Break the crates with a statue ball
Use the Miracle Orb to reset the ball mechanism, then strike the ball perched on a statue. It breaks the crates blocking the doorway.
Make a bridge and remove the blocking balls
Later, use the Hand of Zagreus to create a bridge. Hit another statue ball to clear the boxes, then reach the mechanism switch that removes the balls obstructing the route.

Move the cube after rejoining Mydei
Use a nearby Janus’ Hidden Passage to cross a gap. In the next room, activate the Hand of Zagreus to move the blocking cube and form a bridge across the gap.

Continue through the remaining encounters. Game8’s route includes another Furiae Praetor fight, followed by a meeting with Nikador, the Lance of Fury, and a battle. After this story segment, the mission returns you to Okhema. The mission page notes that some dialogue was removed in Version 3.2, so wording and exchanges may differ from older walkthroughs.
