Gujian 3 is a Windows single-player action RPG set in a Chinese-inspired fantasy world. It has English interface text and subtitles, but not English voice acting; its real-time combat is joined by crafting, a hub, side quests, and other activities. One important caveat for PC players: Steam says the game requires a constant internet connection.
What is Gujian 3?
Developed by Aurogon Shanghai and published by Wangyuan Shengtang, Gujian 3 released on December 14, 2018. Steam classifies it as an RPG and lists it as single-player. Its fantasy setting draws on ancient Chinese elements; it should be understood as fantasy, not as a historically accurate simulation. Steam’s store listing describes its world and gameplay.
The Steam version is a digital Windows game. Steam lists achievements, Remote Play on Tablet, and Family Sharing among its features. It also lists the Gujian 3 Original Soundtrack as digital add-on content; an official announcement said it would release on Steam on April 2, 2020. The publisher’s Steam announcements also documented a 2022 reprint of the art setting book, but that historical announcement does not establish current stock or international shipping.
Is Gujian 3 available in English?
Yes. Steam lists English interface text and subtitles, so the game can be followed in English. It does not list English full audio, meaning the spoken dialogue is not English-dubbed. The same language table lists Simplified Chinese interface, audio, and subtitles, plus Traditional Chinese and Japanese interface text and subtitles. An official November 2021 announcement noted the Japanese Steam version’s arrival after translation and proofreading. Check Steam’s language table for the supported options.

How does Gujian 3 play?
Real-time combat
Combat takes place continuously in the world rather than switching to a separate turn-based battle screen. Steam describes light and heavy attacks that build Energy and Morale for special attacks. Players can also use stamina-consuming defensive stances and dodges, with a constellation-based build system and pact creatures that can help in combat.
Activities beyond fighting
The Lotuscape serves as a hub for research and crafting, farming, mining, exploration, and decoration. Pact creatures can help with hub tasks as well as battles. The game also includes Lost Tales, an in-game card game, and questboards with side quests that add character and world stories. These systems make the experience broader than combat alone, though the available store description does not establish how much time a typical player will spend on each activity.

Can your PC run Gujian 3?
Steam lists the following Windows requirements. They are published specifications, not independent performance-test results; they do not guarantee a particular frame rate or settings level on every PC.

Steam’s store page lists those game requirements, but Steam Support says the Steam client supports Windows 10 and later as of 2024. The client’s supported operating systems and an older game requirement list are separate things, so do not treat the listing of Windows 7 or 8 as confirmation that the current Steam client will run on them. Does Gujian 3 work offline?
Do not count on offline play: Steam explicitly states, “Constant internet connection required for game.” That is a store-listed requirement, even though the game is single-player.

Gujian 3 is a more natural fit if you want a single-player action RPG with English text, Chinese-inspired fantasy, and side systems beyond combat. Its spoken audio is not English, its store listing requires a constant internet connection, and its PC requirements should be treated as specifications rather than proof of performance. Steam’s accessed English review snapshot showed 84% positive from 1,682 reviews, while its recent-review snapshot showed 63% positive from 38 reviews, marked Mixed; these figures were observed on October 8, 2026 and can change.
