Halo Infinite’s Last Major Content Update Launched November 18, 2025

Operation: Infinite launched November 18, 2025, as Halo Infinite’s last major content update then planned. It added doubled progression, two 100-tier reward tracks, maps, Ranked Seasons, and Exchange items; later support included Firefight: Gauntlet in May 2026.

Operation: Infinite launched on November 18, 2025, and Halo Studios described it as Halo Infinite’s last major content update then planned—not the end of all support. The update doubled key progression rewards, added a 100-tier Operation Pass, new maps and Ranked Seasons, and more than 200 customization items to The Exchange. Halo Studios also said it remained committed to challenges, ranked rewards, and community events; Halo Support later published a Firefight: Gauntlet update in May 2026.

What Halo Studios meant by “last major content update”

In its Operation: Infinite preview, Halo Studios said: “While we remain committed to supporting Halo Infinite on the road ahead, Operation: Infinite is the last major content update currently planned.” The wording described the studio’s plans at the time. It did not announce that the game would shut down or that every kind of update and event would stop.

The distinction became clear after launch: Halo Support published a separate Firefight: Gauntlet update on May 5, 2026. That later release does not change what Halo Studios said in 2025; it shows that “last major content update” was not the same as “last update of any kind.”

What Operation: Infinite added

Faster progression and more Spartan Points

Halo Studios announced 2X Career Rank progress and 2X Spartan Point earning. The preview explained that matchmaking Career Rank progress accelerated through doubled Applied Score multipliers, while match-based Daily Challenges that awarded Spartan Points were doubled. Weekly Ultimate Rewards increased to 2,000 Spartan Points. Reaching Hero rank unlocked the Mark VI armor kit. These are in-game progression rewards, not cash values.

Two 100-tier Operation Pass tracks

The free Operation Pass had 100 tiers, including three armor sets. Halo Support’s November 18, 2025 patch notes listed 65,000 Spartan Points across 67 free-track tiers. The Premium track added five armor sets, six weapon models, and more than 30 exclusive Spartan customizations; its notes listed 38,000 Spartan Points across 22 paid-track tiers. Those point totals describe in-game rewards, not money or a direct real-world value.

The patch notes listed the Premium offer at 1,000 Credits, or 2,500 Credits with the first 20 tiers unlocked immediately. Those were the published in-game offer details, not current real-money prices; currency conversion and present shop status are not established here. Halo Studios said both passes had no planned expiration date, and the patch notes said the Premium offer would remain available without an end date.

Maps, Ranked Seasons, and Exchange items

The update added Vacancy to the ranked map pool and Yuletide for Husky Raid and Super Husky Raid. It also introduced new Ranked Seasons and brought over 200 previously unreleased customization items to The Exchange.

What happened after launch

Firefight: Gauntlet

In notes published May 5, 2026, Halo Support described Firefight: Gauntlet as a four-player cooperative mode across five battle arenas. Players face escalating enemy waves and champion enemies, and can upgrade their attributes. The release also introduced a featured playlist. Halo Support said that playlist would rotate out on May 19, 2026, after which its maps and mode would enter the Firefight staple playlist.

Ranked schedule and ongoing support

Halo Infinite’s Operation: Infinite patch notes published ranked rotations through January 2027, including a reset scheduled for November 3, 2026. That is the schedule as published in the notes, not confirmation that no adjustments were made later. Halo Studios’ preview also said the team remained committed to challenges, ranked rewards, and community events.

Original download sizes

Halo Support’s November 18, 2025 patch notes gave maximum download sizes for that update. These are patch download ceilings, not the game’s current total installed size.
