Amazon Games lists horses, dire wolves, and lions as mount types. Its September 6, 2023 overview says all three “will double your standard sprinting speed.” That is the published claim at the time, not an independently tested or guaranteed current performance figure. The overview does not establish that one type is faster or mechanically better than another; choose based on appearance and availability unless current in-game information indicates otherwise. How do you unlock a mount?
Amazon Games describes mount quests as the way to befriend and unlock new animals. It does not give a current, complete quest walkthrough or verified unlock-level thresholds, so there is no reliable step-by-step route or level requirement to quote here. Check the current in-game quest log and Riding interface for the available objective and prerequisites on your character; avoid relying on older level guides as proof that the route is unchanged.

What does Riding progression do?
Riding is the progression track associated with mounts. The 2023 overview says you can gain Riding XP by completing mount quests or feeding your mount. Progress may increase mount speed and unlock rewards, including buffs, attachments, higher-tier mount food, and chances to obtain special mounts at set levels. The announcement does not provide a current reward-by-level table, so consult the in-game Riding screen rather than assuming a threshold from an older guide.

These activities were described as rewarding Riding XP and items such as mount buffs and mount vitamins. Their current availability and rewards are not established by the dated overview.
How can you customize a mount?
Amazon Games describes nicknames, attachments, buffs, and dyes as customization options. Attachments fit into two visual-equipment slots and are aesthetic only; they do not provide gameplay effects according to the 2023 overview.

Mount buffs are different: they are gameplay modifiers. Examples in the announcement include cleanse, empower, fortify, haste, healing, reduced landing damage, reduced summoning time, and greater encumbrance tolerance. It says buffs have Riding-level requirements, are bind-on-pickup, and can be paired with one other buff. Because those details and examples come from a 2023 feature announcement, check current item descriptions and the in-game interface before planning around a particular effect.
Mount food is a consumable that grants Riding XP, according to the same overview. The announcement also said the in-game Store offered mounts, attachments, and dyes for Marks of Fortune; it does not confirm current stock or availability.

When can you summon or ride a mount?
The 2023 overview says mounts can be summoned from almost any location outside combat, but summoning is not an instant escape. It gives a two-second summon delay and says summoning cannot begin while your character is in a combat state. PvP damage cancels a summon. Once mounted, damage from another player dismounts you and dismisses the mount; enemy damage can also force a dismount, with some tolerance for low-level enemies that pose little threat.
The announcement further states that the PvP timer pauses while mounted and mounted XP does not count toward bonus thresholds. These rules may have changed since publication, so treat them as the documented 2023 behavior rather than a guarantee of current mechanics.

What should you verify in-game?
The official feature page is useful for understanding the system, but it is dated September 6, 2023. Before committing to a particular route or build, verify the live quest objectives, Riding thresholds, buff effects, store inventory, and combat rules in the current game.
