Arrowhead delayed the Helldivers 2 Redacted Regiment Premium Warbond after final testing uncovered an issue that did not meet its release standards. Although the Jan. 16 announcement gave no new date, the delay was not indefinite: Arrowhead’s official Jan. 22 update said the Warbond would go live that day, two days after its originally announced Jan. 20 launch.
What happened to the Redacted Regiment Warbond?
Arrowhead announced the Warbond for Jan. 20, 2026, then postponed it after final testing. The studio did not give a replacement date in its Jan. 16 statement. On Jan. 22, the official Helldivers 2 Steam update said the Warbond would release alongside that day’s update, making the eventual delay two days. Arrowhead’s Jan. 13 PlayStation Blog announcement and the Jan. 22 Steam update establish the announced and revised dates.

Why was it delayed?
Arrowhead’s public explanation was that testing had uncovered “a key issue” that did not meet the studio’s standards for release. The studio apologized for changing the plans and said it wanted the update to be ready before launch. The statement was reproduced in contemporaneous coverage, including GamesRadar’s report.
Arrowhead did not say what the issue was. The Jan. 22 patch notes also discuss improvements to stealth behavior for suppressed weapons, but do not identify those changes as the cause of the delay. It would be speculation to attribute the postponement to a particular weapon, stealth mechanic, balance concern, or bug.

What was announced for the Warbond?
The original Jan. 13 announcement presented Redacted Regiment as a stealth-themed Premium Warbond. Its listed unlocks included two primary weapons, a dart pistol, equipment, armor, capes, and other items. Those descriptions reflect the announcement; they should not be taken as confirmation of how each item behaves or is balanced after later patches.
- R-72 Censor: a precision rifle with an integrated suppressor.
- AR-59 Suppressor: a fully automatic assault rifle.
- P-35 Re-Educator: a dart pistol.
- B/MD C4 Pack: a stratagem.
- TM-01 Lure Mine: a mine intended to draw enemies toward it.
- Armor and capes: two armor sets and matching capes.
- Other unlocks: the Concealed Insertion booster, cosmetics, and additional Warbond items.
What do players need to access it?
The PlayStation Blog announcement says players need the base game, paid Super Credits, and game progression to access the Warbond. The announcement identifies the game in a PS5 context. Redacted Regiment is an in-game Warbond, not a physical retail product; the cited announcement does not establish current prices or retail formats.
