Helldivers 2 April 29, 2024 Patch Notes: Update 01.000.300

Helldivers 2 Patch 01.000.300, released April 29, 2024, was a balance-and-fixes update affecting weapons, armor, burning damage, enemies, and the Spread Democracy mission. It was not a blanket buff or nerf: weapon changes varied, from a five-second longer Quasar Cannon recharge to increased Blitzer fire rate. General gameplay changes

• Armor ratings above 100 now reduce damage from headshots.
• Burning damage was reduced by 15%, according to Arrowhead Game Studios’ 2024 patch notes.
• Victory poses now play only for players who extracted.

Weapon changes

The update adjusted ammunition, damage, handling, firing rate, and weapon categories. These changes are specific to each weapon; they do not amount to a universal increase or decrease in weapon strength.

Damage, projectiles, and firing rate

• LAS-99 Quasar Cannon: Recharge time increased by five seconds.
• LAS-98 Laser Cannon: Damage increased slightly, with slightly less damage against large-volume bodies.
• SG-8P Punisher Plasma: Projectile speed increased while range remained similar; explosive damage falloff decreased.
• ARC-12 Blitzer: Rate of fire increased from 30 to 45 shots per minute. It was also moved to the energy weapons category.
• LAS-5 Scythe: Damage increased from 300 to 350.
• RS-422 Railgun: Armor penetration increased in both safe and unsafe modes, while stagger force decreased slightly.
• 63CS Diligence Counter Sniper: Damage increased from 128 to 140, and ergonomics improved.
• R-63 Diligence: Damage increased from 112 to 125.

Ammunition, handling, and categories

• CB-9 Exploding Crossbow: The explosion became smaller and stagger increased. Maximum magazines fell from 12 to 8, while magazines received from resupply rose from 6 to 8. Muzzle velocity increased and ergonomics decreased slightly.
• BR-14 Adjudicator: Full auto became the default firing mode, recoil decreased, and both maximum magazines and magazines received from resupply increased. The weapon moved to the assault rifle category.
• SG-8P Punisher Plasma: Maximum magazines decreased, while magazines received from resupply increased. It moved to the energy weapons category.
• R-36 Eruptor: Maximum magazines decreased from 12 to 6, and explosion damage fell off slightly faster.
• LAS-16 Sickle: Maximum magazines decreased from 6 to 3.
• LAS-5 Scythe: Maximum magazines decreased from 6 to 4.

Mission change and fixes

Patch 01.000.300 also changed the Spread Democracy mission and included fixes covering stability, weapons and stratagems, enemies, and other gameplay areas. The official post is the source for the complete fix list and the precise mission adjustment.
