A customizable motorcycle is the headline new vehicle. The setting also hides remnants of the old world among the dunes, giving exploration a mix of wasteland scenery and familiar San Angora details.

Take on factions and quests
Rival factions, NPCs, events and quests give the world activities beyond free-form destruction. The Nintendo product description also lists new goats, gear, vehicles, achievements and a new currency. It describes players as able to destroy or reconstruct the town, making rebuilding part of the expansion’s advertised play.
Find the smaller diversions
Xbox Wire’s developer feature lists collectables, Easter eggs, status effects, physics interactions and seven mini-games. That count is the feature list’s stated total, not an independent measure of the expansion’s scope.
How does its world differ from Multiverse of Nonsense?
Baadlands is presented as one coherent wasteland rather than a tour through contrasting worlds. Xbox Wire’s November 19, 2025 feature quotes the developers’ design approach: “To differentiate the world of Baadlands from the Multiverse of Nonsense, our first major DLC that we launched last year, we set out to make it as one big, coherent world, rather than a mix of several worlds.” The feature does not identify an individual speaker for that statement.
That distinction shapes the advertised activity mix. Baadlands emphasizes a continuous desert setting, motorcycle travel, factions and town-building. The publisher describes Multiverse of Nonsense as a journey involving grand quests, characters, instability stones and travel among multiple universes. The former is framed as post-apocalyptic parody; the latter as multiverse fantasy.
Xbox Wire also says the Baadlands environment pushes back more and offers a greater challenge than the main sandbox. That is the developer feature’s characterization, not a measured difficulty rating.

Release dates, platforms and co-op
The original release announcement and Steam catalog list November 19, 2025 for the PC, Xbox and PlayStation launch. Nintendo’s US Switch 2 listing gives a later release date.

Xbox Wire specifies co-op limits for Xbox: Xbox Series X|S supports one to four players, while Xbox One supports one to two. Those figures should not be assumed to apply to PlayStation, PC or Switch 2. The base game’s official site describes four-player local or online co-op, but that does not establish Baadlands-specific limits across every platform.
Does Baadlands require Goat Simulator 3?
Yes. Nintendo’s product listing says Goat Simulator 3 is required to play the Switch 2 content. Baadlands is DLC, so buying or owning it should not be confused with getting the base game; the available listings do not establish whether it is bundled with the base game on every platform.

For someone deciding whether to buy the base game specifically for this DLC, the key consideration is that Baadlands is an add-on rather than a separate entry. Regional prices and bundle inclusion are not established by the cited listings, so check the store for the platform and region you plan to use.
