Marvel Rivals players have floated names such as Ghost Rider, Nova, Iceman, Human Torch, Ant-Man, Falcon, Vision, and War Machine—but these are examples from community discussions, not a measured list of the game’s most-requested heroes. The appeal of a wishlist is in considering what each could add to the roster, not treating fan speculation as a promise or confirmed roadmap.
Which heroes are Marvel Rivals players asking for?
Two 2026 discussions on r/marvelrivals show the kind of requests fans discuss: one asks whether a set of 30 characters represents the most-requested picks, while another asks which heroes people still hope to see in each role. Names raised include Ghost Rider, Nova, Iceman, Human Torch, Ant-Man, Falcon, Vision, and War Machine. These are examples from particular threads, not a representative poll or a defensible popularity ranking.
The distinction matters: a character appearing in a wishlist thread tells us that some players want them, not how broadly that preference is shared. No reliable “most wanted” order is established by the available discussions. A credible ranking would need to identify who organized the poll, when it ran, how many people responded, and how votes were collected.
What each character could bring to the roster
The roles and gameplay hooks below are possibilities for a fan wishlist, not announced kits or plans from NetEase. They help compare candidates by the kind of roster experience they might offer, as well as by how familiar the character is to players.

| Character | Why fans might want them | Possible roster contribution | Recognition and roster angle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ghost Rider | A supernatural antihero with a striking visual identity and a different tone from many conventional superhero picks. | A close-range Duelist built around aggressive movement, chain attacks, or area control could give the roster a high-risk, high-impact brawler. | A recognizable Marvel name that could widen the game’s supernatural flavor. |
| Nova | A cosmic hero whose spacefaring identity offers a distinct visual and thematic direction. | A mobile Duelist or Vanguard could use flight and energy attacks to create a different kind of aerial pressure or front-line presence. | A well-known Marvel hero, though less ubiquitous than the biggest household names. |
| Iceman | His ice powers offer an immediately legible theme and room for imaginative movement and battlefield control. | A Strategist or Vanguard concept could emphasize slowing, shielding, or shaping routes with ice; a more offensive kit could instead make him a control-focused Duelist. | A familiar X-Men character whose powers could support several distinct play styles. |
| Human Torch | He brings a strong Fantastic Four connection and an obvious contrast to an ice-themed hero. | A flying Duelist could apply pressure from above, with fire-based area attacks or bursts of mobility. | A recognizable team hero with clear visual appeal and a potential aerial combat niche. |
| Ant-Man | Size-changing powers could create a play style unlike a conventional ranged or melee fighter. | A disruptive Duelist or utility-focused Strategist might use shrinking, growing, or gadget tricks to reposition or help teammates. | A widely recognizable character whose mechanics could be more surprising than his name alone suggests. |
| Falcon | His flight and partnership with Redwing make him a natural candidate for players who want an agile, tech-oriented hero. | A mobile Strategist could offer scouting or team utility, while a Duelist version might focus on aerial attacks and repositioning. | A familiar hero with a potential mobility niche; the exact role would depend on the design. |
| Vision | His synthetic nature and broad powers could support a distinctive balance of offense and team utility. | A Vanguard concept could lean on durability and space control, while a Strategist could emphasize protection or support abilities. | A recognizable Avengers character who could fill a flexible, team-oriented role. |
| War Machine | He offers a heavier, weapons-focused alternative to more agile armored heroes. | A Vanguard could bring sustained fire and defensive tools; a Duelist might instead focus on damage and mobility. | A familiar Marvel name that could add a more military-tech approach to combat. |
These sketches are comparison points, not predictions. The same character can be imagined in more than one role, and a final kit could take a different direction entirely.
What makes a useful wishlist?
A strong roster wishlist looks beyond name recognition. It asks whether a character could add a distinct role, mechanic, or team dynamic, while leaving room for both familiar faces and less obvious choices. Executive producer Danny Koo described that balance in a GameSpot interview, saying the game’s introductions include well-known characters, curveballs, and deep cuts. He also said the team treats each introduction as potentially a player’s first encounter with that character, rather than assuming prior familiarity.

- HIGHLY ARTICULATED FIGURE: Features 90 points of articulation allowing for dynamic action poses and display options, bringing Venom to life from Marvel Rivals
- DETAILED MODEL KIT: Includes 185 pieces with movable tentacles, rotatable tongue, and adjustable hips to capture Venom's fierce and menacing character
- ICONIC ACCESSORIES: Comes with Venom tentacles and attack effect hand accessories to recreate epic battle scenes and signature moves
- TOOL-FREE ASSEMBLY: Easy snap-together construction requires no tools or glue, making assembly quick and straightforward for builders ages 14 and up
- PERFECT SIZE: Stands approximately 6 inches tall, making it an ideal display piece for desks, shelves, or alongside other Marvel collectibles
That approach can make a wishlist more interesting than a ranking by fame: an established hero such as Human Torch or Vision may bring an instantly recognizable identity, while a less expected pick can offer a fresh visual or mechanical direction. Neither category guarantees a good fit; distinct gameplay and a worthwhile place in the roster matter too.
Do fan requests influence future Marvel Rivals heroes?
PC Gamer reported on July 4, 2025, that game director Guangyun Chen said player votes are “highly valuable” and an “important factor” in planning upcoming seasons. The same report says suggestions receive an internal feasibility review. That supports the conclusion that NetEase considers community input, but it does not confirm that any character named in a discussion or vote will be added.

Community requests are one input into planning, not a public release schedule. Leaks, speculation, cosmetics, or teasers should not be treated as proof that a character is playable or officially scheduled.

Roster status changes over time, so check the official Marvel Rivals site and its Heroes section before relying on an older wishlist. The site also has a Hero Hot List. NetEase announced Deadpool’s addition in its January 13, 2026 Season 6 update, but that dated announcement does not establish the complete playable roster as of October 2026. The official page is the right place to verify current availability; its accessible content does not provide a readable full roster here.
