These instructions were submitted by contributors, rather than confirmed in the manual, so treat them as a reference rather than publisher-verified rules. Because the guide’s entries describe different paths, check the specific character’s instructions rather than assuming every unlock uses the same title route.

What you can unlock in WWF No Mercy
The No Mercy instruction booklet identifies Single Play as a way to reveal hidden Superstars and says Championship mode can reveal hidden Superstars, managers, and valets. It does not provide one universal unlock condition for the full roster. Consult the No Mercy instruction booklet reference.

Community-submitted entries list examples including Andre the Giant, Cactus Jack, Earl Hebner, Ken Shamrock, Linda McMahon, Mae Young/Fabulous Moolah, Mick Foley, Shane McMahon, Shawn Michaels, and Vince McMahon. The listed routes vary: some involve Survival or Championship progression, while some entries mention SmackDown Mall purchases. How to reach the documented backstage areas in No Mercy
The guide describes five connected backstage areas: the hall, locker room, boiler room, parking lot, and bar room. To enter, Irish-whip your opponent into the entrance at the top of the ramp. What about three more secret rooms?
A separate World of Nintendo tips entry claims that WWF New York, a kitchen, and an extra parking lot can be unlocked by buying every SmackDown Mall item, clearing Survival without CPU eliminations, and completing every Championship mode at 100%, respectively. That claim is not corroborated by the booklet reference or the long-form guide cited above, so these rooms and requirements should be considered unverified rather than established secrets.
