Helldivers 2 Hotfix 01.004.001, dated September 4, 2025, shortens the S-11 Speargun reload from 3.5 to 2.5 seconds and the MS-11 Solo Silo cooldown from 210 to 180 seconds. Its notes also list fixes for several crash scenarios, lighting and extraction issues, and visual or behavior bugs affecting the LIFT-182 Warp Pack and Displacements Backpack.
Balance changes
The hotfix lists two numerical adjustments. These are the values in the patch notes, not measurements of how the changes affect match outcomes.

Crash fixes listed in the notes
Arrowhead’s notes say the hotfix fixed crashes associated with the following situations:
- Excessive particle effects.
- Being in Hellpods after reinforcement.
- Automaton missions.
- A seeking missile losing its target before impact because that target is deleted.
- Multiple players on the Super Destroyer having the MA5C AR equipped.
- Aborting a mission while wielding a turret or driving a vehicle.
The notes describe intended fixes; they do not establish a measured change in crash rates or guarantee that every player’s stability problems are resolved.

Other fixes and adjustments
- Lighting: addressed a Hellpad light that could become excessively bright under certain conditions, and hive-world tunnels that could become too dark with some lower-graphics settings.
- Extraction: adjusted the extraction shuttle’s landing.
- LIFT-182 Warp Pack: addressed an issue that could leave it stuck suspended or cause a crash.
- Displacements Backpack: fixed visual effects displayed while aiming down sights.

This is Hotfix 01.004.001, listed on September 4, 2025. The dated SteamDB patch listing reproduces the update notes. A Reddit copy of the notes includes an edit clarifying that an originally incorrect Solo Silo balance entry was corrected; the corrected cooldown change is 210 to 180 seconds.
