FAN EXPO Canada 2024 brought game voice actors, developer panels, playable attractions, esports and TV casts to Toronto’s Metro Toronto Convention Centre from August 22–25, 2024. The event has passed; its schedules, bookings and promotions below are a historical guide to what was advertised, not current offers.
Video game guests and panels
Meet game performers
The advertised gaming roster included Jennifer Hale of Mass Effect, Charles Martinet of Mario, Cameron Monaghan from the Star Wars Jedi series, Neil Newbon of Baldur’s Gate 3, Tara Strong, known as Harley Quinn in DC games, and Patricia Summersett of The Legend of Zelda. The contemporaneous event roundup said these performers were scheduled for panels, paid autographs and photo opportunities. Roger Craig Smith and Keith David had cancelled, so the announcement should not be read as a final roster guarantee. MobileSyrup’s August 20, 2024 roundup covered the planned appearances.
Hear from developers
Blizzard’s Rod Fergusson was scheduled to discuss Diablo IV, while members of Ubisoft Toronto were set to talk about making Star Wars Outlaws. Victor Lucas, creator of Electric Playground, was described as moderating both discussions. Lucas also had a separate show-focused panel with Marissa Roberto and Shaun Hatton.
Hands-on gaming, demos and esports
Xbox and PlayStation activations
Xbox’s reported “PC Game Pass Arena” let visitors play games with professional gamers. Other Xbox-related attractions included photo opportunities themed around Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, a claw machine with Star Wars Outlaws plushies, and artist Christiano De Araujo painting a Black Ops 6-themed Xbox Series S during the show.

Try a then-upcoming game
Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive were reported to be bringing a demo of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, described in the August 2024 preview as an upcoming release. That timing is specific to the event announcement; the demo was not a continuing offer.
Watch live tournaments
Bell esports programming included live 4v4 Call of Duty, 5v5 Valorant and 5v5 Overwatch 2 tournaments. MobileSyrup reported a $30,000 prize pool for the event in 2024; that figure describes the contemporaneous tournament announcement, not a current prize pool. The same roundup described the tournament formats and prize figure.

The ring-making activity’s booking calendar was already full when the roundup was published on August 20, 2024; that availability note applies to the pre-show period, not the present.
How to read the 2024 lineup
The program mixed different ways to take part: guest panels and paid meet-and-greets, developer conversations, a playable game arena and demo, live esports, and branded photo or activity areas. Participation terms differed by attraction. The named game performers’ autographs and photos were described as paid, while the Agatha All Along trio offered neither; Prime Video’s ring-making activity used a booking calendar that was full before the show.

FAN EXPO Canada’s About the Show page describes the event generally as Canada’s largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming event, with celebrity panels, workshops and a shopping floor. That is the organizer’s current positioning, not a 2024 attendance figure. For historical 2024 dates, venue and show hours, the organizer’s 2024 Exhibitor Operating Guidelines document the four-day event at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, August 22–25.
