There is no confirmed date for the next Escape from Tarkov wipe in the Battlestate Games announcements reviewed as of October 8, 2026. TarkovKit estimates December 7, 2026, but labels that date an estimate—not an official commitment. An October 6 patch notice does not establish that a wipe began then.
Has Battlestate Games announced the next wipe date?
No. Battlestate Games’ official Escape from Tarkov Telegram channel said it had a preliminary plan for updates through the end of 2026, but the searchable text of the post gives no wipe date and does not provide enough roadmap detail to calculate one. Read the official channel.
A separate official-channel post says, “Details on the Hardcore Wipe in #EscapefromTarkov. Stay tuned — soon we’ll reveal even more info about the upcoming wipe.” That signals that more information was expected, but does not give a launch date. The post does not name an individual speaker. See the official post.
Why is December 7, 2026 being mentioned?
TarkovKit lists December 7, 2026 as its estimate for the next reset. Its page also cautions that the date is an estimate rather than an official commitment. Treat it as a third-party forecast, not a confirmed wipe date. Check TarkovKit’s estimate.

Does the October 6 patch notice mean the wipe happened?
No such conclusion is supported by the notice described in the available material. A Reddit post reproducing or linking an Escape from Tarkov Official update notice reported planned maintenance for patch 1.2.0.0 on October 6, 2026. The notes mention new PvE Prestige levels and other game changes, but do not say that the patch starts a wipe. Since this notice is surfaced through Reddit rather than directly from Battlestate Games’ live channel, verify it against the official feed for the original announcement. View the Reddit post.
A patch, maintenance window, and wipe are not interchangeable: a patch notice establishes an update or maintenance schedule, not a reset, unless Battlestate Games says so. The July 3, 2026 notes for patch 1.0.6.0 likewise do not establish a wipe date; they say the Expansion Hub launch date would be announced separately. See the official channel.

Where to check for a confirmed date
Look for a dated announcement from Battlestate Games, especially on its official Escape from Tarkov channel. A confirmed date should be stated in the announcement itself; do not infer one from a patch number, maintenance notice, roadmap, or third-party countdown. The official channel’s posts about a preliminary update plan and the Hardcore Wipe offer no date in their available text. Follow the official announcement feed.
