There are nine Vista Points in Horizon Forbidden West. For each one, scan the Vista Point tower with Aloy’s Focus, then travel to the nearby viewpoint and align the holographic image with the landscape. The first eight can be found before the final point on the Isle of Spires; that last one appears after you complete the others.
How Vista Points work
At each location, use the Focus to scan the tower. The scan gives you a holographic scene to match against real landmarks. Follow the nearby route to the viewpoint, adjust the view until the outline lines up, and activate the memory.

Vista Point locations and solutions
1. The Daunt
Find the tower between Chainscrape and Barren Light, near the river. Scan it, turn away from its plaque, and follow the river north to the broken bridge. Face the bridge from the viewpoint and align the hologram with it.

The tower is about 250 meters west of Plainsong. After scanning it, follow the road uphill toward the old windmills and ruined buildings. Climb to the ruined building above the windmills, look down into the valley, and match the hologram to the windmills and satellite dishes.
3. Scalding Spear
Look about 300 meters northeast of Scalding Spear for the tower. Scan it, then glide down the hill west toward the Sunwing site. Climb the fallen tree to the rusted roof and align the scene from there.

5. Dunehollow
Dunehollow is underground, reached through the shaft in Hidden Ember after the water has been drained. The area becomes explorable after Main Quest 11, “The Sea of Sands,” when Aloy retrieves POSEIDON. Use the indoor map to find the Vista Point on the third floor near the Eiffel Tower structure. Scan its pillar, climb the broken bridge at the north end of the area, and align the image at the bridge’s end.

7. The Long Coast
Find the tower on the coast north of Tide’s Reach, itself north of Thornmarsh. Scan it, then head to the small island west of the coast. Climb the island’s small mountain and match the hologram to the buildings to the north.

8. Shrouded Heights
This tower is on the north coast of San Francisco. Scan it, then swim north to the underwater ruins. East of the ruins, look for bright blue plants and a yellow handhold on the rocks. Climb using the handhold to reach the alignment position.
9. Isle of Spires
The final point appears after you complete the first eight, and reaching it requires the Sunwing. The Sunwing is unlocked during Main Quest 16, “The Wings of the Ten.” Fly to the tall tower west of the Vista Point tower and land on its upper platform. Use the yellow beam to line up the image with the old skyscrapers.

After the ninth Vista Point, a follow-up waypoint appears on the Isle of Spires. It leads to a lootable safe on San Francisco’s west coast containing an audio log from Elisabet Sobeck and crafting materials.
Can you complete Vista Points after the story?
Yes. Vista Points are not missable, and you can finish them in free roam after the main story. The two notable progression exceptions are Dunehollow, which requires completing “The Sea of Sands” and draining the area, and the Isle of Spires point, which appears only after the first eight and requires a Sunwing.
