There are nine Vista Points in Horizon Forbidden West. At each one, scan the tower with Aloy’s Focus, then find the nearby vantage point and adjust your view until the hologram matches the real landscape. The ninth point, Isle of Spires, appears only after you complete the first eight.
How Vista Points work
Use the Focus to scan the Vista Point tower and reveal a partial hologram. Then search the surrounding area for the place where the view lines up with the holographic image. Move the camera until the two images match to complete the point. The Focus also highlights useful resources and points of interest as you explore; see PlayStation’s game overview.

The points appear in this order: The Daunt, Plainsong, Scalding Spear, The Stillsands, Dunehollow, The Memorial Grove, The Long Coast, Shrouded Heights, and Isle of Spires. The first eight can be completed in free roam, including after the story; Dunehollow and Isle of Spires have additional requirements.
Vista Point locations and solutions
1. The Daunt
The tower is between Chainscrape and Barren Light, near the river. After scanning it, turn away from the plaque and follow the river north to a broken bridge. Face the bridge and align the holographic path with it.

2. Plainsong
Find the tower west of Plainsong. Follow the road uphill to the old windmills and ruined buildings. Climb to the ruined building on the left above the windmills, then look down into the valley. Align the holographic windmill on the left with the real windmill on the right; satellite dishes also help identify the matching view.
3. Scalding Spear
The tower is northeast of Scalding Spear. Glide west toward the Sunwing site, climb the fallen tree to the rusted roof, and look down toward Scalding Spear. Adjust the view until it matches the hologram.

4. The Stillsands
Look for the tower between Scalding Spear and Hidden Ember, at the northern edge of the desert. Climb the nearby cliffs north of the pillar to reach a viewpoint platform. Align the holographic tower with the desert landscape.
5. Dunehollow
Dunehollow is reached through Hidden Ember by dropping down the shaft. It is flooded earlier in the story; after completing Main Quest 11, The Sea of Sands, and retrieving POSEIDON, the water drains and the area becomes accessible.

On Dunehollow’s third floor, scan the pillar. Climb the broken bridge in the north, using the ladder if needed, and align the hologram with the Eiffel Tower-like structure.
6. The Memorial Grove
The tower is north of The Memorial Grove. Cross the river to the east and climb the northeastern mountain, where an old metal structure stands. From the mountain’s edge, line up the view with the structure on the cliff.

7. The Long Coast
The tower is on the coast north of Tide’s Reach, which lies north of Thornmarsh. Travel to the small island west of the coast, climb its small mountain, and align the hologram with the buildings to the north.
8. Shrouded Heights
The tower is on the north coast of San Francisco. Dive into the ocean north of it and search the submerged ruins. At the bottom, east of the ruins, look for blue-glowing plants and a yellow handhold. Hold onto the bar and adjust the view until the ruins match the hologram.
9. Isle of Spires
This Vista Point appears only after the other eight are complete. Its alignment spot is on a high tower west of the Vista Point tower. Fly there with a Sunwing, glide to the topmost platform, and sit on the yellow beam. Line up the hologram with the old skyscrapers.

After completing the set, a follow-up waypoint leads to a reward cache on the west coast of San Francisco. The cache includes an Elisabet Sobeck audio log, crafting materials, and 1,500 XP, as listed by Push Square. Its listed contents are:
