Open the cheat console and enable cheats
The console shortcut and the button used to submit a command depend on your platform. EA’s current console instructions use testingcheats on; for PC and Mac, EA’s examples use testingcheats true when a cheat requires testing cheats.

PC and Mac
- While playing, press Ctrl + Shift + C to open the cheat console.
- Type a cheat and press Enter. If it requires testing cheats, enter
testingcheats truefirst, press Enter, then enter the cheat.
Xbox
- Press LT + RT + LB + RB at the same time to open the console.
- Enter
testingcheats onand press A. - Enter the cheat you want and press A to submit it.
- Press LT + RT + LB + RB again to close the console.
PlayStation
- Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 at the same time to open the console.
- Enter
testingcheats onand press Circle. - Enter the cheat you want and press Circle to submit it.
- Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 again to close the console.
Know the console achievement effect before activating
EA warns: “If you use testingcheats, achievements will be disabled for the current save game.” The warning applies to that save, not your other saves, so decide whether achievements matter in the save you are playing before you activate the command.
Why EA uses two command spellings
EA’s cheat FAQ gives testingcheats true for console activation, while its newer console help page specifies testingcheats on. EA does not explain the difference. For Xbox and PlayStation, follow the newer platform-specific console instructions above. For PC and Mac, EA’s examples for cheats requiring the flag use testingcheats true.
