On PC, press Shift+F2 while your Ubisoft game is running to open the Ubisoft Connect overlay. If it does not appear, check that the in-game overlay is enabled in Ubisoft Connect PC settings.
Open the Ubisoft Connect overlay on PC
- Launch the Ubisoft game and wait until it is running.
- Press Shift+F2 on your keyboard. Ubisoft lists this as the default shortcut for the PC overlay.
- If nothing opens, open Ubisoft Connect PC settings and make sure the in-game overlay is enabled. The overlay can be disabled there.
The overlay gives you access to some Ubisoft Connect features while playing, including your friends list and chat. See Ubisoft’s instructions for opening the Ubisoft Connect PC in-game overlay.
What to do if Shift+F2 does not work
Try Ubisoft’s troubleshooting steps in this order. They may help identify the cause, but they are not a guaranteed fix.
- Update Ubisoft Connect PC. If the app has no internet connection, it starts in Offline mode and does not install updates automatically.
- Close background applications while launching Ubisoft Connect PC and the game. Ubisoft notes that other applications can interfere with the overlay.
- Check your security software. Make sure a firewall or antivirus program is not blocking Ubisoft Connect PC.
- If the issue continues, follow Ubisoft’s overlay troubleshooting guide for further connectivity steps.
Open Ubisoft Connect on console
Shift+F2 is the PC instruction, not a console shortcut. To access Ubisoft Connect rewards on console, select Ubisoft Connect from the game’s main menu. The Rewards tab appears only in games that support Ubisoft Connect rewards; if it is missing, Ubisoft says that game does not support them.
