You can get Shiny Rocks through the purchase and new-player rewards listed on Meta’s Gorilla Tag store page. It says a new player receives 5,000 Shiny Rocks with purchase, a 500-rock new-player bonus, and 100 rocks for the first daily login—5,600 total on the first day. That listing does not confirm a recurring daily reward, so don’t count on earning 100 rocks every day.
How do you get Shiny Rocks?
Shiny Rocks are Gorilla Tag’s in-app currency. Meta’s store listing describes these first-day amounts for a new player:
- 5,000 Shiny Rocks included with the game purchase, described as equal to the purchase price’s value.
- 500 Shiny Rocks as a new-player bonus.
- 100 Shiny Rocks for the first daily login.
Together, those listed amounts add up to 5,600 Shiny Rocks on the first day. The listing is for a particular regional store page; check your own platform’s current listing for the price and terms that apply in your country. Meta’s Gorilla Tag store listing
Is the daily login reward recurring?
The listing documents 100 Shiny Rocks for the first daily login, but it does not say whether that reward repeats, how often it might be available, or what steps are required after the initial login. Treat it as a first-day reward, not a confirmed daily income. For any current login offer, rely on an official in-game notice or current store information rather than assuming an old guide still applies.

Can you get Shiny Rocks without buying them?
The listed new-player and first-login rewards are not separate instructions for repeatedly earning currency. The official evidence available establishes the first-day amounts, but not an ongoing free earning method. It also does not establish that an eligible merchandise code is a general way to earn Shiny Rocks.
What can you spend Shiny Rocks on?
Shiny Rocks are used for in-game content, and the City store has rotating inventory. Prices depend on the item and can change. As a dated example—not a current price guide—Gorilla Tag’s developer announced on November 12, 2024, that its first returning medieval castle-themed Monke Blocks set would cost 6,000 Shiny Rocks when it launched on November 15, 2024. Do official merchandise codes give Shiny Rocks?
Some select physical products from the official merchandise store may include a limited-time in-game reward, with eligibility stated on each product page. The store says an eligible code is emailed approximately 24 hours after purchase and can be redeemed at the in-game computer in Stump: open the Redeem tab and enter the code. Its general code instructions do not establish that every eligible product awards Shiny Rocks; check the specific product’s listed reward. The store says these rewards are unavailable on Quest 1 and PSVR2. Official Gorilla Tag merchandise FAQ
