To install all three main modes in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), install the game through Battle.net on PC and leave Campaign, Special Ops, and Multiplayer selected. On PlayStation or Xbox, install the content packs for the modes you want through the game or console’s content-management screen; pack names and menu paths can vary, so use the labels currently shown on your system.
Make sure you have the right Modern Warfare
This guide is for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), not another game in the series with a similar title. Activision’s official game page identifies Campaign, Multiplayer, and Special Ops as its main experiences and lists PlayStation, Xbox, Battle.net, and Steam platforms. The selective-install steps below are specifically for the Battle.net PC version.
Install all modes on PC with Battle.net
For a fresh installation, use the Blizzard account that owns or has access to the PC game. The documented Battle.net flow lets you select game content during installation. Blizzard’s preload instructions cover launching the app, signing in, selecting the game and region, and starting installation; its installation and setup instructions describe choosing content.
- Install and open the Battle.net desktop app, then sign in with the account used to purchase the PC version.
- Select Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in the launcher and choose the correct region if prompted.
- Click Install. In the installation dialog, open Modify Install to review the available content.
- Leave Campaign, Special Ops, and Multiplayer selected for all three documented modes.
- Confirm the selections and start the installation. Let the download and installation complete before launching the game.
Change the installed modes in Battle.net
If the game is already installed, Blizzard’s documented flow for changing its content is through the launcher’s Modify Install menu. Its instructions date from 2020, so follow updated on-screen labels if the launcher has changed.

- Close the game if it is running.
- In Battle.net, select the game and open Options > Modify Install.
- Under Game Content, select or clear Campaign, Special Ops, and Multiplayer according to which modes you want installed.
- Confirm the changes and start the install operation.
Blizzard’s instructions state that Warzone cannot be removed from this menu. The selectable content listed here is Campaign, Special Ops, and Multiplayer.
Install content on PlayStation or Xbox
The official game page lists PlayStation and Xbox editions, but current console pack names and exact menu paths are not established by the official instructions cited here. Use the current interface on your console rather than relying on a fixed pack checklist:

- Open the game’s content or add-on management screen, either from the game or through the console’s game-management interface.
- Install each available pack that corresponds to the modes you intend to play.
- Allow downloads and installations to finish, then reopen the game and check its install or content status for any remaining prompts.
Console pack labels and dependencies can change. If a mode still reports missing content, use the pack names or instructions shown by the current game and platform interface.

For this guide, a complete installation means having Campaign, Multiplayer, and Special Ops installed—the three experiences identified on the official game page. On Battle.net, keep all three selected. Installing only one or two is a valid way to save space, but it is a partial installation rather than the full set of those modes.
