The entitlement is linked to the Ubisoft account signed in at the time, so confirm that account before redeeming. If the code is for PlayStation, Xbox, or another storefront, redeem it through the platform or retailer named with the code instead.
Redeem a Ubisoft Connect PC game or content key
- Check the platform and account. Confirm the code is for PC and sign in to the Ubisoft account where you want the game or content. Ubisoft links activated or redeemed content to the account used. Its activation guidance was updated on 24 September 2026: Ubisoft activation and banned-key guidance.
- Open the activation screen. In Ubisoft Connect PC, select your profile in the upper-left corner, or open the Ubisoft Connect overlay, then choose Key/Code Activation.
- Enter the key. Type it in Activate Product and select Activate. Depending on the code, Ubisoft may ask you to select a product and platform.
- Download the game. Open Library, select the game, then choose Download from its three-dot menu or use the download icon. After installation, the game will show a Play button. See Ubisoft’s Ubisoft Connect PC installation instructions.
Check what kind of code you have
“Ubisoft code” can refer to different things, and the redemption destination depends on the platform and what the code grants. Follow the instructions supplied by the retailer or platform that issued it.

Microsoft Store purchases also differ by platform: Ubisoft says PC purchases are accessed through Ubisoft Connect PC, while console purchases are accessed on the console. Retailer-specific delivery flows can differ too; for example, Ubisoft’s Green Man Gaming activation instructions direct customers to use that retailer’s Redeem on Ubisoft Connect option and sign in to the intended Ubisoft account.
If the game does not appear or the code is rejected
The game is missing from your library
First check that Ubisoft Connect PC is signed in to the same Ubisoft account used to activate or redeem the code. If it is still missing, follow Ubisoft’s cache troubleshooting steps. If the issue remains, contact Ubisoft Support and provide proof of purchase.

The key is invalid, already used, or region-restricted
Check the characters in the code and compare the product, platform, and region with the retailer’s listing. Ubisoft identifies invalid, already-used, and region-related errors in its activation and banned-key guidance. Avoid repeated guesses: several failed activation attempts can temporarily block further attempts.
The key has been banned
Ubisoft says keys can be banned when they were obtained through an irregular selling process, such as an unapproved retailer. Contact the retailer about a replacement or refund; Ubisoft recommends buying through its Store or approved retailers.
