The available sources provide a detailed route for Paperfold University College, not a verified location-by-location route for every bird in Penacony.
How to find Origami Birds and claim their rewards
Origami Birds are hidden collectibles scattered around Penacony. Finding them is only part of the process: return to the large birds at gathering places to receive their secret gifts after collecting enough. HoYoWiki’s official tutorial explains the loop: “The big birds at the gathering places seem all to have their worries. Please help them find the Origami Birds scattered everywhere. Once you’ve collected enough, the big birds will give you a secret gift of gratitude.”
Some birds are concealed in objects. The Paperfold University College walkthrough also identifies two that require ranged attacks to reveal, so inspect suspicious scenery and use a ranged character when the bird is not accessible by ordinary interaction.
All Penacony Origami Bird areas
Game8’s guide, last updated November 14, 2024, reports 180 birds across these Penacony areas. Treat the total and area coverage as that guide’s account rather than a freshly confirmed 2026 inventory.

Origami Bird Clash: Official Edition is a separate Version 3.4 event, not the Penacony exploration collectible hunt. HoYoverse’s announcement recommends playing it after the “Farewell, Penacony” Trailblaze Mission and the “Origami Bird Clash” Adventure Mission. Its match-three activity and event rewards should not be confused with finding hidden birds or collecting gifts from gathering-place birds. Read HoYoverse’s event announcement.
