If Battle.net and Steam will not link
Blizzard identifies several account conditions that can prevent linking. Check them before trying the authorization flow again. Blizzard Support: Cannot Link My Third Party Platform and Battle.net Accounts
- Battle.net account registration: Make sure the account is fully registered rather than a trial account.
- Existing Steam connection: Check whether the Steam account is already linked to a Battle.net account.
- Existing platform connection: Check whether the Battle.net account already has a Steam account linked.
A Steam account cannot be linked to multiple Battle.net accounts at the same time. A Battle.net account can have only one account linked for each supported third-party platform type. Blizzard Support

Change the Battle.net account connected to Steam
If Steam is connected to the wrong Battle.net account, you may need to disconnect the existing link and then connect the intended account. Disconnecting can trigger a cooldown: Blizzard says the Battle.net account-management page displays the specific duration, and customer support cannot bypass it. Check that page before unlinking so you know when a new connection may be allowed. Blizzard Support

No. The documented Steam linking steps above are for Overwatch 2. Blizzard lists separate support topics for transferring Diablo IV and Call of Duty games from Battle.net to Steam; those are game-specific license or transfer matters, not necessarily the same account-linking flow. Check the support instructions for the exact game before attempting a transfer. Blizzard Support search: Steam topics
