The clearest sign of a Roblox account moderation action is a moderation notice when you try to sign in or use the platform. If only one experience blocks you with Error Code 267, that is a ban issued by that experience’s creator—not a Roblox-wide account ban. If you cannot tell which applies, read the exact message and try signing in on another device.
Check the message and where the problem happens
- Read the exact notice or error. Roblox says a moderation notice explains which appeal option is available. Keep the wording so you can distinguish an account action from an experience-specific restriction. Roblox’s appeal guidance describes the available routes.
- Try signing in on another device. In its Xbox Error 901 guidance, Roblox recommends trying a browser or mobile device to review account moderation status. This is a troubleshooting check, not a guarantee that every access problem is a ban. Roblox’s Error 901 guidance.
- See whether the restriction is limited to one experience. If other experiences and platform features work but one experience shows Error Code 267, Roblox identifies that as a creator-issued ban from that experience.
- Check for service or device trouble. Trouble joining experiences or using Roblox does not, by itself, prove you are banned. Check the Roblox Status page and follow the relevant Support guidance before drawing that conclusion.

What Error Code 267 means
Error Code 267 means the creator of the experience banned you from that experience. It is not evidence that Roblox banned your entire account. Roblox says other experiences and platform features remain available. The creator controls this restriction, so contact the creator if you want to ask about it; Roblox Support cannot overturn it.
How to appeal an account moderation action
- Follow the route in the moderation notice. Depending on the action, the notice may direct you to Violations & Appeals or to the Support Form. Use the route Roblox gives for that decision.
- Submit the appeal as the account owner. Roblox says only the account owner may appeal. Where the Support Form is the route, include the account username and a brief explanation of why you believe the decision should be reviewed. Use a valid email address for the account.
- Meet the applicable deadline. Roblox states that general account appeals must be submitted within 30 days of the moderation action. For users in the EU appealing an initial moderation action, Roblox identifies a six-month period and additional dispute options; follow the current regional guidance and your notice.
- Wait for Roblox’s review. Duplicate appeals for the same account action will not be reviewed, and submitting an appeal does not guarantee Roblox will remove the consequence.
Why there is no universal ban duration
Roblox says consequences and their duration vary according to the violation and the account’s history. The specific notice is the relevant source for your account’s action; there is no single duration that applies to every moderation case. The official information cannot establish an individual account’s current status without that account’s notice, login results, or Roblox’s response.
